What You'd Bring Along

For one man, it was the keys to his Damascus apartment.  Another brought his mobile phone for the photos and voicemails on it.  A Syrian woman brought her diploma, a reminder of the education she plans to continue.

These are what Syrian refugees took with them as they left their homes during their country's civil war.  Some things have symbolic value; some have sentimental value; some have monetary value.
