The Big Vote

Who are you hoping will win the U.S. election?
For the incumbent president and the former governor, it all comes down to votes in the Electoral College.  But regardless of how those add up, we'd like to know whom you're rooting for on Election Day in America.

I think everybody should vote for who they want and lets stand up and get rid of all these mean cruel and bully type harassing commercials. They should say why to vote for them not criticize every other runner in this political vote.

I think that neither candidate is really telling the truth, and that they are not focusing a lot on the positive for our country, but the negative for each other. From a class poll today, I would say Obama is going to win.

I hope Obama wins. I think its just bad luck he was elected as President. Everyone, especially, Gov. Romney, is hitting him with attacks accusing him of making gas prices higher. In truth, the President can't control gas prices. It depends on the oil wells around the world. But overall, he has taken great steps for equality and education, and he has kept most of his promises.

Obama all the way!! Some people might disagree, but we should all give another chance to our president after having a lot done for is and awaiting for more.

Mitt Romney's goals sound extremely vague, and he never made any new or better arguments in the debates. In addition, Obama inherited a lot of damage to the country and would not have been able to fix everything in only four years.

After these harsh four years, it is time for Obama to step down. It is a fairly close tie though...

in this year's election I'm voting for Mr. Romney for President because I believe in some of his good morals. I'm kind of afraid to vote because this is my first year of voting by myself. I just turned 18 on Sunday so this is the first chance for me to vote and have to make the hard decisions of who to vote for on my own. So this voting experience for me this year will be interesting.

We all have different opinions and some of us prefer Mitt Romney and some Barack Obama.I support Barack Obama, I agree with many of his views and I believe in second chances. Many people say Obama has done nothing but we need to step on his shoes and see the actual truth.

I think Mitt Romney should win the U.S. election because, Romney knows small business', doesn't believe in abortion. Romney will cut back on borrowing money from China, and he doesn't believe that gun control is necessary. There will be more jobs, gas prices will be lower, and we will stop spending money on PBS because nobody watches it.

If I was old enough to vote I would actually vote for neither of them. I think this because when Barack Obama was president he was saying that he would do this and that but when he will be elected president he would not do anything except say to people that he would do it. In the recent debates, they both were fighting like children scratching for toys. If this happens even if one of them were elected then the future president would not be able to focus on us but focus on his opponent. This could be a major problem because Obama didn't do anything for jobs and it's getting worse and worse for all of us.

I think that Barack Obama should win. One thing i know that Mitt Romney wants to give more taxes on the middle class. In my opinion, Me and my family are barely getting by with what we have. If we had to pay even more taxes, i think we would have a harder time. I know that everybody else has their decisions and opinions, but in conclusion i would choose obama. He has more reasons that win me over.

I honestly think that Obama should win because he has all the campaigns and he as created over 6,000 jobs in the past month. He is a really great, and honest president and I think that he should win the election this year. He is the best president ever. Other then like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and a lot of other presidents. He was the best president since 2008. There. That should be a good blog for CNNStudentNews.

  63. Gabe

I want Mr. Obama to be re-elected for two main reasons. One, we have seen what he has done with our nation. Though it may not be as popular as some of us would like but he seems affective. On the other hand, Mr. Romney has constantly changed his position to win the different elections he has competed in. Second, I would like to state that Obama has done an excellent job in times of great need. For example, Republicans such as Chris Christie has applauded Obama's efforts with Superstorm Sandy.

    November 6, 2012 at 3:58 pm |
  64. Slausson

For me, I'd like to see a president who would put the pieces of the economy that are resting in a crater of debt back together and pay off the debt. Unfortunately, none of the choices we have are good ones. Also, Congress, for some reason upset about the economy, yet they keep the president from doing his job, then step back, say that the president isn't doing anything, and act like nobody will know that they are ruining it for other people.

Mitt Romney should win the election. The economy is terrible, our national debt doubled and the unemployment rate is up. When did this all start? Right around Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Obama has not fixed America; he has made it a worse place to live in. Sure, he says he killed Bin Laden, but in case you didn’t know, he knew where Bin Laden was for six months. Six months where he Bin Laden could do whatever he wanted. Finally, Obama decided to send in Seal Team Six, after six months! Mitt Romney was in charge of Bain capital, he knows how to get America started again. Obama had four years, in those four years he ruined America and now he says that with another four years he can fix it, give me a break! Mitt Romney knows how to, and can fix America. Romney will fix our economy, pay off the debt and get America started again. Who do you want a man who has successfully ruined the USA, or a man who can and will fix it?

I hope Obama wins, because he deserves an second chance. Obama needs 4 more years to fufill his promises. Many people are voting for Romney because he is a millionare. It's not about the money. Governer Romney said he can make 12 million jobs. How is he going to do it though? He only says what he is going to do, and not how hi is going to do it.

    November 6, 2012 at 4:40 pm |
  69. Traeson

I'd vote for Romney because Obama sounds like he wants to make us all the same by raising taxes on the wealthy and he will get rid of all of the coal mining companies so more people will lose their jobs

  70. Tiffany

I think Obama should be President because when he was in office all he did was clean up the mess left by Bush. Obama has saved or created 3 million new jobs.

I am hoping that President Obama wins the election... Governor Romney wants to outlaw gay marriage. He also wants to tax the poor even MORE. This is not good with America.

    November 6, 2012 at 6:54 pm |
  80. Kate

The first thing that comes to mind on a presdint is creating jobs. Unlike Obama, Romney will creat jobs! He is making sure that our jobs arent wasted on people in differnt countries like China. Made in USA. Dont see that munch. Im sorry but anyone who wants support killing unborn children is not the kind of president I want. Everyone should have a chance to live. And its ok to support same sex marriage. Plus Obama has done noting he said he would do. Sorry its just my freedom of speech which i hope no one takes away!!!!!!!!!!!! GO ROMNY

    November 6, 2012 at 6:55 pm |

If I could vote, I would vote for Obama. I think that he's done a lot for the sake of education, health, and equality. On the economy, I'd give the President credit for keeping the economy from freefall. There's quite a lot of blaming on him because people think he's responsible for higher gas prices. However, that's not true because the President has no control over that. I also agree with the fact that he is promoting marriage equality.

    November 6, 2012 at 7:01 pm |

Im voting for Mr Romney Because my mom owns a small business and we wont get taxed as much as wallmart, a million dollar company

I believe President Obama should and will win, looking at the electoral vote map there are more way the electoral votes stack up realistically for President Obama whereas Romney has fewer situations as far as the accuracy of the polling in swing states goes.

Obama and Romney are both great speakers, hard to choose. Romney did better in debate but there was nothing wrong with Obama judging from the last four years.... Hard to choose who to vote for!

    November 6, 2012 at 7:51 pm |
  93. Hamdy

What most Mitt Romney fans dont know is that the person to blame is Bush. He started this and Obama started bringing it up. With Mitt it will start to go down.

    November 6, 2012 at 7:52 pm |

By this I mean the economy problem.

      November 6, 2012 at 7:55 pm |

Obama and Romney are both great speakers, that is a factor in who you want to vote for. In my opinion, Romney did better in the last debate, but, judging from the last four years,Obama hasn't done anything wrong for the U.S. It is very hard to choose who to vote for! (if you aren't already Democratic or Republican – then it is easy to choose)

    November 6, 2012 at 7:57 pm |
  95. Clarissa

I think that they both deserve to win. they both tried there hardest campaigning and debating. But I believe that Obama tried a little bit harder because he traveled all across the country to give speeches and stuff.

    November 6, 2012 at 7:58 pm |
  96. Mason

I know my say does not count, but I have nothing against any candidate running, but I like republicans view on things. If I could vote, I would vote for former governor Mitt Romney, like I said, I like republicans point of view. I like how they want less government. That's why I want Mitt Romney.

    November 6, 2012 at 8:03 pm |

I vote for Barack Obama because he already has experience as a president.

    November 6, 2012 at 8:13 pm |

I think that all canidates running for president try to win over people by their campian commercials, adds, and signs, but overall each campaign runner has something that their pledging that I like. Most of the time I choice the campaigner that proposes the most things I like. For example, President Obama is all about healthy eating and taking care of our earth. On the other side, Mitt Romney proposes less government spending. Overall, I think that it's always a tough decision between the running canidates. Make sure you think long and hard before you fill in that important bubble.

    November 6, 2012 at 8:19 pm |
  99. Valerie

I want Obama to win! Why? Because he's having ideas for the futures. Why would you want a plan still in work interrupted when Romney comes around with his "Raising the taxes!" If you spell Texas it's spell Taxes! Is that what people want higher taxes? NO! I'll admit Romeny has some good ideas and good characteristics I have 0 faith in him of winning. If they both end up in a tie. He House of Representatives decide who are presdient. I honestly hope Obama wins he has some good ideas I like..

I want romney to win because he has more experiance in making money and politics than obama had for example romney owned and ran a profitable store before he became governor of mass. and he wants to put more money into the military and cut taxes on everyone except the rich which are extremley good ideas for this country. go romney

Barack Obama has had 4 years to get things done but he couldn't. I want Mitt Romney to win because I believe that the economy will get better with a competent, capable, and efficient man.

We need a change in America we can't keep spending millions and billions of dollars. We need to get out of debt so we aren't regretting it in the future. Our country needs change, and I belive Mitt Romney can do that! Not only is Obama spending money, he is getting no where with jobs, he needs to do his JOB and help others have one of there own! Romney all the way.

I hope Obama will win. He needs more time in office to make a bigger change. Also Michelle is very helpful with getting kids off the couch and playing outside. If he gets reelected I think he will help our country in a big way. I think people should give him another chance before judging what he has already accomplished.

I think this will be an extremely tight race. Some of the polls are saying different things so it will be very interesting to see the outcome of this election.

I am disappointed with the US. The news of the election upset and angered me but has settled into a depressing feeling. I am also considering moving to Canada.

Obama already had a chance for 4 years, so why give him 4 more? We need to not look at religion, just because Romney is Mormon, doesn't mean he is a bad man... RE-COUNT!!!

I dont think it dosnt even matter who is elected. because if there are mostly democratic senators, republicans run the house of representitives, and then a democratic president, then since they all beleive diffenent things, nothing will ever GET DONE!!!!!

I think Obama is the better candidate. He actually cares about kids and their education. He also has a reason to keep our country safe - he has a family to care for - and that would make him work even harder to make our country better. Mitt Romney, on the other hand, talked about cutting our education. I'm sorry, but I think that Americans need all the education we can get.

I think neither of them deserve to be president. Obama made a tremondous impact on the countrys debt. And Romney wasn't a good governor. I hope that Obama does a good job on being president. Unlike last term.

I was rooting for Obama solely because of the fact that I felt that he had better ideas about some crucial things like foreign policy, health care reform, and other social issues. Romney on the other hand didn't have the appeal that Obama did to different demographics.
