Who (or What) Would You Memorialize?

There are several memorials at the National Mall.  Presidents from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Ulysses S. Grant are commemorated.  Veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam are remembered.  There's also a marker for the first air mail flight and a remembrance for the historic engineer John Ericsson.

This Monday, we're telling you about the new memorial for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  And we're looking for your thoughts on who (or what) else should be commemorated at the National Mall.

If you got to plan the next memorial in the nation's capital, what person or event would you want represented?
