It was because of his religious beliefs that Joel Northrup decided not to wrestle Cassy Herkelman, though Joel said he had a tremendous amount of respect for her.  A quick check of the blogs (including CNN's own Belief Blog) revealed that Joel had gotten everything from praise and respect to insults and taunts for his decision.

Both wrestlers were eventually eliminated from the tournament.  But we'd love to hear your thoughts on this:  Did you agree with Joel's decision not to wrestle Cassy?
