...is that there was no truth - no tree octopus.  The part of this story that amazes me is that about half the 7th graders who were told this animal was a hoax continued to insist it was real because of the website they read.

So we'd like to get your thoughts today on 'checking your sources' (something I remember all too well from journalism class).  What can you do to make sure that what you read online is the truth?
