The terrible events of September 11, 2001 changed the U.S. You probably know about the terrorist attacks and the emotions that Americans and others around the world experienced that day. What are your thoughts on the ninth anniversary of 9/11? Do you plan to observe the day in any special way?
Donna Krache, Executive Producer
I believe that 9-11 is sort of like Pearl Harbor. Right now 9-11 is on the forefront of our minds because it was so much more recent, but that doesn't really make it much different. Do you realize that this year makes the 69th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor? What do we do for Pearl Harbor day? Not too much anymore, and eventually 9-11 will be the same. It may not seem true at the moment, but unless we do something this day will soon become just as forgotten as Pearl Harbor is (at least in this generation.)
Personally, I think the day should be used to comfort people who were affected by it. Otherwise I think we shouldn't bring it up unless in prayer for those people.
9/11 was a horrible day. I think everyone should take a little time out of their day and think about what happened. 9/11 was devastating.
I will just feel plain sad for those who died including the firefighters on 9/11 because they were innocent. :'(
What i plan to do is take some time to pray for the families that lost someone in the crash. I also plan to tell my friends about it so they can join me. I hope all of you will put all your worries aside from you stressed out lifes and remember those who found out their loved one had died in it.
We are doing something special on 9/11 because its my dads birthday. If it wasn't his birthday i would not do anything special because thousands of people died that day and it's terrible!!!
The U.S. took a emotional blow that day. People are scared to go on planes now. I think the security systems to get on a plane should protect us.
9 years have passed already?During these nine years, all I've heard about was war, and violence, and "oh my gosh its so tragic in Afganistan". I hope, that after the anniversary, this will simply recede. On the anniversary, I'll simply remember those who have lost their lives during the 9/11 attack, and pray that their families are alright.
I will observe it as a day to remember the heroes who risked their lives to save others from death that is how i will remember that day.
We hang the flag and pray to those who died in 9/11/01.
I plan to see the day as one to remember the fallen heros of Ground Zero. I know they worked hard for a long time to save people and I am grateful for them.
Well this day will remind us of the worst but I think it's time to move on to the better.
The 9/11 attacks were terrible, but it should not be said that all Islamic cultures should be trashed. And the anniversary should not be viewed as a rememory of the terror but to make new relationships and forget the past. Thats what I think.
9/11 was a really sad day because of what had happend
what i am going to do is pray for the people who died and hope to god that this tragedy helps people understand what the world is like today.
i think that this was really sad
I was only in 3rd grade when it happened but I still understood how terrible it was.
I have no comment on the towers I know its terrible,I'm just not that into it.
September eleventh was one of the greatest tragedy of our great nations history i continue to mourn the loss of my cousin nathan who loved his family and his job.
So many deaths in such a short time many have not even recovered yet still mourn.I cant even sit without thinking about it or work yet i face it.
September eleventh it was one oh the worst day since war world 2. I feel still that nobody should judge other people for there mistakes no body is the same. It is the people who didn't.
It is a day that will be long remembered and is close in ways to Pearl Harbor. It started a war that changed the world again and made us once again prove both our militaristic and diplomatic ways. We moved in to the desert like a sandstorm as we did in the Pacific like a wave. In ways we should remember this day and I will take a moment to remember those who died in wars before and today, who gave their lives to make sure we are safe and free.
I plan to take 1 hour on 9/11 to respect and understand what has happened on that day. And say thank you to all the fire fighters and other forces at the 9/11 destruction. The people that lived and that had died saving other people and our country.
i plan to take 1 hour on 9/11 to respect and understand what has happened on that day. I say thank you to all the fire fighters and other forces at the 9/11 destruction. The people that lived and that had died saving other people and our country.
To observe 9/11 in a special way, I will be praying for all of the families that were affected by this terrible attack.
The coming of the ninth anniversary of 9/11 holds mixed emotions for me. I plan on observing the day with a sad, yet peaceful mindset. 9/11 to me isn't about the destruction and devastation experienced that day, although i know it's nothing to be dismissed. In my mind, 9/11 is the day that Americans all over the country came together and united to help one part of our nation. Coming together and working towards the common good, that’s what 9/11 brings to me.
I was a wee lad when I heard the news, and at the time, I didn’t really know the significance. Year after year, I was moved by what had no impact on me in the beginning. Now, after growing accustomed to the sorrows in life, I will henceforth look on 9/11 with pride and fortitude that America will forever stand strong, no matter what.
My family will have a moment of silence. I think this will be the best way to remember the victims and their families.
I will probly stay at home or be at my grandmas but i am very sad about what happend have they even caught the people who did that. I herd that they made it a holiday I thought that holidays were spose to be happy not sad but O WELL.
What a historic day in the United States! It is so sad that so many lives were sacrificed.
It was also great that so many people reached out to help the families of the victims-I know a family that went around to schools and asked them to donate teddy bears and write letters to the kids whose parents had died. After a deadline they collected the bears and the letters and took them to their home-some rooms were filled top to bottom. After that they examined the letters and tied them to the bears with a little heart. It's so great that that family went out of their way to help those poor little kids.
It doesnt really bother me because I do not really know much about it. I really don't want to know about dead people.
well i don't really pay any mind to this subject but to every one that has family or friends bless them.
i would light candles and pray for those who have died in 911
my thought's are those teraiss are stupid for crashing those plans they killed a lot of people. the passagers were smart to take the plane over, and crash it.so the teriss are stupid.
Sure it was a bad idea to go and attack the towers, but they were terrorists that attacked not Muslims. The Quran does not teach to do destruction but to promote peace.
It sure was an unfortunate event in U.S. history but we recovered and I don't really know if there is a way to really celebrate it. But we will keep that moment in our memories and hope nothing like that happens again.
I'll watch the footage of 9/11 attack.
i dont see why they just dont build a moske and a christian chaple together because AL QUILDA did the attack NOT the whole religion.
Not really. I just have to know some people are so sad. I have to thank Muslims for celebrating Ramadon Friday.
Carl, i believe that the territory around gound zero, including where the mosque is said to be built, should not be changed what so ever, even though america is a free country, we shouldnt replace the land where one of the worst events in U.S. history was taken place.
It's non sense, we shouldnt build over land, even though its two blocks from where one of the worst events that's ever happend in the U.S. was taken place, 9/11. And I know that this is a free country, and some people have strong beliefs that they should not build it, and i'm one of them, that land is sacred, and it was there religious group that caused 9/11, I believe they should build the mosque somewhere other than in that location.
I was only 2 or 3 at the time but I want to spend part of my day studying about 9/11. I remember someone telling me about it a couple years later and I thought it was just wrong to kill that many people.
I plan to celebrate by going to my neighbor's house because they were in New York when the World Trade Center collapsed. I also plan to ask them what it was like to hear the towers crashing down. Then I am going to remember those who died trying to save lives.
I am truly sorry for the families who's loved ones were involved in the 9/11 accidents 9 years ago. I feel for them & pray for them, R.I.P all people who died during the 9/11 attacks.
9/11 was one of the most terrible things to happen in the USA.I think they will make a memorial for the ones who died in 9/11.Hopefully everyone will pay respects to the dead.
I believe 9/11 is a day to mourn for those who passed in the attacks, and to be aware of the fact that anything could happen, and appreciate that we live in such a safe country.
I feel really bad that this had happened to all these people. Every year during the time of the 9/11 attack I pray for all of the families that were related to the victims.
9/11 was a terrible event that many have suffered. We should all take time to rember all the men and women that lost there lives in NYC, the Pentagon, and Penslvania Also, we should make homemade memorials. I hope that America will never have to see anthing like 9/11 again.
Even though I was not really effected in any way by the attacks, I do still observe the day and remember all of the deaths, and all of the families who lost loved ones.
9/11 was a tragic memory, but we should not blame musilums just the Islamic terrorists.
You should do what you normally do but you should remember the lives lost and the always remember the men and woman fighting to keep you safe.
I think that the more we honor the poor people in this tragedy. they longer they stay in our hearts and memories.
i think that the nine 11 anniversary is a rememberence of all the people that died. i think it is a all america WILL always remember. i think that we need to use this day to remember the ones who died, the ones who saved lives, the ones who got away in the 9/11 attack.
im sorry for the people who have lost someone close.
i will always remember this day.
I have very mixed feelings to the people that did this to our nation. It might shook us a little, but we still made it through that very horrific day.
My thoughts from 9/11 is i think that it was so very terrible and Ihope it never happens again because that was a big effect for our economy and it was close to my birthday so that always reminds me of one another.
going to a boat race for the leukemia society being with my brother who lived from leukemia and thinking of the the lives lost form leukemia and 9/11.
i think that 9/11 was a sad day snd should me talked about in a bunch of schools and not be forgotten.
I think that even though the terrorists have not attacked since 2001, they might have a 10 year plan that will be finished next year. Then, they will have some sort of special surprise attack.
I think it was wrong of the teriorists to attack on September 11. And i am not doing anything to make it a special day, just praying that I dont die.
I think that 9/11 both hurt and helpped the U.S. We saw all the horrible things that happened and that made us be more aware of what happens around the world even though it was a terrible event it did help us in the end.
Well, I don't really recall that day too well, that being I was very young, but I remember the shock and horror a lot of the teachers and adults in my school were in, and I remember when I was home, it was ALL over the news. Now that I'm older, I realize the devastation of the whole ordeal. Rest in peace those of 9/11. God Bless! 🙂
I think that the terrorist who hijacked the four planes on 9/11 where showing that we can be hurt. I do believe that it worked. I plan on spending 9/11 honoring veterans from WWII on the last Honor Flight.
I'm korean but, I was very surprised and sad that day, 9 11, 2001. I felt terrorists were mean stupid. I Also felt sorry and sadness towards the dead people in the building and their families. I think we should never forget the issues that many people died especially an attack. In recent korea, there were issues like 9 11. Cheonan ship issue. We Korea amd America need to remember those issues.
I think the 9/11 anniversary should be celebrated for every one in the U.S. Every one should take a hour out of there day to give thanks to people who lost there lives in this event, which is what i'm doing for today.
I remember 9-11. I was getting ready for school when we turned on the news. I was to young then to understand the magnatude of its damage to the country and to soo many familys who lost loved ones. I now understand at 13 and know how it is to feel after some one you love dies. I didn't understand then but now I do and I just want to say I sorry for any familys, friends, who lost someone special to them. We are all mourning on this sad day but those who left us would most likely not enjoy us crying for them.
It was a despairing day for us, but it made us stronger, and we should respect that.
I know today is 9/11, and it is a sad day. I feel for the people who lost family members and friends. Although, I do not like to watch programs about 9/11 on T.V. because it freaks me out. I do plan on going to church though to pray for the people who lost family members and friends.
I really don't know to do what to do about it, it's like it was so terrible there's almost no way to admire the people who sacrificed their life for others enough, so we can only know they will remembered forever, and the acts of the cruel terrorists were terrible. and that we must try as hard as we can to stop it from happening again, which I sure hope we do.
September 11 was one of the worst days in American history. For some families the pain of lost loved ones still haunts them nine years later.
I feel it is unfortunate that the towers had to fall for someone to 'prove' something to the U.S. I certainly wish that today had never happened. What happened nine years ago is the sad aftermath of misunderstandings and violence of immature people. We could've avoided that if people could solve problems with peacful resolutions rather than war and death.
I was little when the terrorists attacks happened, but I know that for many Americans, it's burned into their minds like it happened yesterday. My parents still can't believe that it's been nine years to the day that so many people died. For many people it's a day of sadness, remembering that their loved ones along with many others lives ended. Personally, I don't care that their are people hating us so much that they are willing to kill themselves just to kill us. Today I' going to hold my head high, hang the flag out side my door, and thank God for letting me be born in such an amazing country.
I plan to watch the History Channel and thier shows about 9/11 and the people who survied and how they did
In loving memory of all of those who died on 9/11
9/11 will always be remenbered in my heart as the day my veiw of our safe country was shattered. I started to question how we couldn't have seen something like this coming. There have been many things that if we had only looked could have given us some kind of warning. I feel sorry that so many lives were lost. But i believe that some people have taken the terrible tragtie to far as a excuse for violence. I want only peace andno more violence.
I may be only 18 years old but i am old enough to know that tragites can bring out the worse and the good in people. Its time to end the HATE and try to work for more PEACE.
I am tried of hearing that people hate muslims in a whole. I know i can't stand people for reasons but i don't hold 9/11 against all Muslims only the ones who have done the deed. They are the ones that have my pity for they should have tried to understand us.
If there is no understanding than there is no peace. If you have peace without understanding its only a ticking time bomb readly to go off.
Well not everyone cares about 9/11,but i do,still im not doing any thing special because their isn't anything else to do about it.
I think that 9/11 is one of those events that are out of the blue (of course) and, I know that 9/11 brought many family to their feet and prayer. And, even though I was very, very young when this event happened, It effects every person that lives in the U.S. But, people now don't care about that they just do without thinking. Even though my family didn't lose a family member in the ...misfortune we are still praying for those family's.
i am not from this country, but yet i can feel the sadness from this tragic event as other amreicans do.
every year on this day i think of the famlies of the people that died. then i start to cry because if i was in their shoes i could only amagim how this event changed their life after loseing a loved one.
I would celebrate with a memorial for them .
they would of liked that .
It was a sad moment for faimlys who did not see their loves one and ,those who caused this will be punishd by God and hope one day that they are not is a siduation like this.
9/11 was probobly the worst disaster in history. The remeberance of everyone who died in that disaster should be remembered everyday. Can you imagine being there?
You know i think that every one should care about 9/11 no matter if you were involved or effected by 9/11. I think that 9/11 is a very important day and that we should celebrate by just talking about 9/11. The people that were killed in the 9/11 crash were so inisint and should have neer had to go through the stress of being in the building and haveing to either jump or die. I am a very sympathetic person and have benn watch and listening to all the speeches that have benn said about 9/11. I want to say that im sorry to all the families that have lost a loved one and who have had someone very important to them get hurt or even parilized. <3 🙂 Thank you cnn student news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
My sisters and I wore red, white, and blue to school.
I remember when 9/11 happened. I was in my 2nd grade classroom. A teacher came in screaming that a plane had run into one of the Twin Towers in New York. I thought, "So what." I didn't understand the magnitude of what was going on. Suddenly all of my friends parents came to school to pick them up. Everyone was so afraid. Our lives in America changed that day. I always pray for those who dies on the anniversary of 911, and i think of my friends in second grade.
On second thought there is something special about 9/11. I was pretty young when it happened. I was one or two when it happened, and I am ten now. I can't really remember what hapened but come to think of it, it was a pretty tradgic event. I hope someone else does anything like it ever again. 🙂
I remember when 9/11 happened. Everyone was terrified. So to everyone out there that lost someone in 9/11, I'm praying for you.
I think we should put flags at half staf and pray for thoes who died in 9/11 it was a bad day in history but we should give thanks to thoes who gave there lives to save other people that is why i think we should always honer 9/11
i think making people pay for public transportation for a public education is stupid, because its not a private education is it? school is supposed to be free so everyone gets an education so america can keep functioning as a whole.
i really feel bad about the 9/11 i mean imagine being there or on the planes?!!! so scary im planing to think about it and learn more about it
I think $400 is way to much to ride the school bus. Mabe 100 per kid would be "ok". Riding the school bus is a lot of helps to parents and kids everywere, do we really want to mess that up? NO.
who would be out of thier right mind to stress parents and students with such a silly thing? i understand that the school district may be needing help with money but asking for four hundred is a little much i think. im sure they could find a much more resonable way to ask fer help.
It is heartwrenching, but should we continue to promote government spending on a memorial when we're in a recession? Would you rather have taxdollars go towards a memorial, or to your education or roadways?
I was so sad when the attacks of 9/11 happened. I think it's a tragic memory, but I also think that people can learn from that day. The past can make our future better.
..... $400 thats crazy why cant we just do fundraisers to pay for yourself or others. In my opinion we should have money for the students not the activities.
The 9/11 attacks are probably one of the U.S.'s most upsetting disaster. It should not have happened to all thos innocent people and their families and friends. Not to mention their children.
9/11 is really an upsetting event to look back on. This year was the first year I saw real footage from the 9/11 attacks. Until then I never really knew how tragic the whole thing was. I never knew how much fear everyone was in and how scary it was for that to happened in a country where it seems like nothing like that could happened. Looking back on all of the tragic events that happened that day really makes me thankful for my family.
I believe that people should have a moment of silence sometime during there day to respect the victims.
The attacks on September 11, 2001 were a very devastating event in American history, many people were killed and those who weren't suffered. As this is the ninth year since the attacks, how we are living now is a view of how we have and are dealing with the attack; the reactions to the Moving of the Mosque closer to Ground Zero show how Americans still haven't learned from our past. We still blame a religion for what people do.Yes, it was a horrible day for American history but it was also a day were we were given a chance to learn something about and correct ourselves. I believe that we need to not forget about that past but let go of it, and learn from it, or else history will repeat itself.
I think the day should be used to comfort people who were affected by it.
Personally, I think the day should be used to comfort people who were affected by it. Otherwise I think we shouldn't bring it up unless in prayer for those people.
9/11 was a sad day i was 5 so i do not remember much but what i remember was i was getting ready for school when i herd a sound on the t.v. and i herd my mom talking to someone. i went out and i watched what happened on the t.v. i did not understand at the time all i knew that it was sad because my mom was crying. now at age 14 i think no matter what day it is you should thank the people who risked there life's for you and pray for there family's and there loss. i feel that 9/11 was a tragic and heartbreaking time and no matter what day it is we should have the flag half staff everyday for those soldiers out there saving are life's at this very moment and that we should pray for them and there family's and that everyday we should sing are national anthem in honer of those who have passed in the line of duty of saving are life's and the ones out there doing it right now 9/11 will never be forgotten.
to those people that this is for u.... u will all be dearly missed its so painful to talk about 911 mt teach was there wen 911 happend i just watched a vidio of 911 happening on youtube im sorry for those people who inacently lost there lives there was no reason for them to die 2999 people died that day a father was saved from 911 by being late to work and we thank that girl who saved her fathers life sincerly jenifer
9-11 is still one of the worst days of american history and should not be forgoten I think that every school in america should have a moment of scilence for 9-11
I feel so awful about 9/11 and those muslims who burned it down. They have no right to have any privledges in the U.S. There's also a video on youtube about 9/11 and it's a little girl talking about her dad dying. Watch it and understand.
to the comment above me............................... wow that's sad i do not think any body should have to sit and watch there family dieing that is horrible
My plan for 9/11 was to win the football game that day for all who died on 9/11.
i think they should't put the moslem church next to 9/11
When I hear about the horror of 9/11 it makes me sad to think about one of NY's landmarks to be gone along with the hundreds of people. I don't know what the terrorist feels about his actions but with the tradgedy he caused he shiuld feel really guilty and sympathetic to the people he killed and especially their families. All the firefighters that died helping others, I admire their bravery. And others should too.
I think that to sit about and not move on is the bad thing. Peoples! We have got to move on! dONT JUST SIT AROUND AND FEEL BAD ABOUT IT
This day was a sad day for us. So, why keep it alive? We are burning their sacered books because of something people did a while ago? Why? The people who made the planes crash are dead with the planes, so why do we punish the ones who had nothing to do with it? Many think its a right, well I say its a right that shouldn't be used. Im not even saying don't be sad, or don't do religious things on that day for loved ones, im saying don't punish the ones that are living today. Just think, would you really like it if someone was burning something prized of yours?
i think they should not let the people that brought down the tiwn tower should be abel to to build what eve they want their
we would watch 9/11 shows
I think that the U.S. marines, army and the firefighters but i think what happened on 9/11 was a tragic day that was and people thought is was going to be a very good day like there was nothing coming to them.It was just so sad,I watched a few things about 9/11=YouTube and other things about 9/11
I can't believe this happened every year I stay home and pray this NEVER happens again.
<3 Courtney from MMS
But if 9/11 is a very tragic day then shouldnt everyone just pray morman or not still pray to god and other people for the tragic day of 9/11. 9/11 is like a very very special day to me now but i just want to know if anyone is going to do it again,if they do i should be a whole lot older and prepared for what could happen again from 9/11. it just makes sick to my stomach that someone would hurt people in america and the rest of the world, people eventually die but 9/11! that is going to make me remember it for ever shall i live.but the guy who had planned that out and the people who had been in the olan of the one dude they are seriously going to have to go to hell! yes it is a bad word to mormen it still is a bad word even to say or write.
GOD Bless the familys that had to suffer! i will pray for them that had someone in the 9/11 crash or jumped i will pray and pray for the familys!
I think everyone should just remeber it as any other day. It happened, it's over. There is nothing else we can do but rember the loved ones lost on that day, but we should do that anytime during the year.
sad day. vary sad day. i remember wen it happen
I think that we shouyld all take a moment of silence and then think of happy times. You should pray and hope good thoughts for the families that were victimized at nine eleven.
i think that all we can do is remmber the people that died in 2001
I think it is a great thing that we are building a memorial at ground zero so grand. After all we sacraficed all that died during that horrible time, this must be realy special for them and a want to say im sarry for your lose
I think that on the day of the 9/11 we should take a moment of silence to honor the people who risked there life to try to save the people who were trapped in there, and a moment of silence to honor the people who died in there to.
I think every day in history is important enough to me memorialized and thought of..........History is what happens every day.
I think that the terriosts were stupid because they died too. It is really sad thinking about all the people whp jumped out or died when it happened. All of the debree falling out from the sky, the people on the ground proably was like what was that? R.I.P 9/11 <3
The 9/11 attak was terrable beacuase a lot of people die. another thing is that people lost ther jobs. i feel bab becuse a lot of people die
it was a tragic thing. it was not nice for them to do that at all. i feel sorry for the people that died that day.
I think that every year on 9/11 they should do something in New York , for all the people that died ! 😀
I don't remember 911 that much but now I realize how terrifying and devistating it must've been. I think that the USA is more aware of the attacks.
I think a memorial would be perfect. Celebrating for the people who died. It's tragic though.
I think on 9-11 we should remember all the people that where killed in the 9-11 actions. We should have a place where we can support all the familys that lost there loved ones. And help prevent this from happening again.
9/11 was a scary day for alot of people and alot of people died that day from the plain crash. i was just a little girl at that time. my aunt was also living in new york the day of the attack and my parents and i were scared. that day was tragic day.
I think that everyone should look back at what happened that day. It was very sad what they did to all of the buildings, especially the people in the planes.
R.I.P people who were involved wit 911!:) I think my family will do a special celebration of remembrance of ALL the people! God bless all you guys!!:)
i think that we should ALL take a moment and pray for what happen.it was a very sad moment RIP!!!:[
whats the point it distroded part of new york, but we should celebrate for the people that died there in that day.
its just so sad:( i cant beileve someone would do this!! Just like Wesley said lets just take a moment of silence. Well thats my opinion about this bye.
its just so sad:( i cant beileve someone would do this!! Just like Wesley said lets just think of the happy days. Well thats my opinion about this bye.
I plan to I find it hard to believe that ANYBODY wanted to do this for no reason. I plan to reaserch more about 9/11. It is awefull that anybody did this at all. I plan in comforting my friend because she is upset because she is Muslam and the preist was about to burn the Quiran JUST because so EXTREM Islamic terrorist did the 9/11 attack.
I really think this day was sad. I know the story it is sad, i think we should all blessed the innocent people that were killed that day. All of this happened 9 years ago.
i think that it is sad that all those people had to die. but we have to move on .
there are bad memories from that day i dont even want to remember.I hope WE DONT HAVE TO SEE THAT DAY AGAIN.
I really think those people were dumb of doing that. 9/11 was the worst day of america. R.I.P for the people who died:(.
I don't get why they broke down the twin tower. But i feel bad
for the people who got hurt or died. and for the people who try to save their salf and died.
did you see what happened there because i do not know that much. so i need somebody to please reply back to me now or else.
9 years already? wow time flies. people should have taken a moment of silence for each plane that hit.
Now because of the tarrist people are afraid to ride the airplanes. Some of my friends are scared to ride airplanes now. But why can't the tarrist just talk to the goverment instead crashing the twin towers!?
My opnion to this conflict is that people need to start to forget the past a bit. Its okay to be sad about this day but don't over do it. I mean some people use discrimination on Muslim because of what happened that and I don't like it.
I can't belive, that was a terrible day for American. Why they should do that? Why they should killed people?
please answer my question >_<
did you see what happened there because i do not know that much. so i need somebody to please reply back to me NOW; 🙂
@Wesley i think that was very well said, i dont know you
This disatser was probally the most disasteris thing in the world. What was the point of that anyways?
911 was a horrible day for america and we should definetly take some silence to remember the workers that died when the plane hit and the people who died when the buildings collapsed.
I didn't find out til I was in 2nd grade. I think it was horrible what they did to the world trade center. It just doesn't sound right to me. Every year I try to remeber the looks of people around me and how they felt. It still just really upset me to think about it.

I think the 9/11 memorial is an amazing idea. I hope that when the memorial is finished, my family, and I could go up to New York and visit and pay our respects to the men and women who lost their lives through the tragic 9/11 attacks.
The Anniversery was very remembering for the families that lost there loved ones. The Crash was very emotional and they should have an anniversery every year.
I think that what happened was really sad. I also think that we should learn more about it in school. r.i.p all those who died that day.
i just plan to take a moment and think about the family and friends of the people in 9/11.Like will the ever fell the same about 9/11
I can just say that we should honor the people who died on 9/11, and just hope that it never happens again.
I will just feel plain sad for those who died including the firefighters on 9/11 because they were innocent. :'(
I think everyone remember that day like no other, it was so sad.
I DONT BUT ITS A GREAT IDEA TO I MEAN IF YOU THINK OF THE PEOPLE THAT DIED ON A REGULAR DAY AND OUT OF NO WERE A GIANT PLANE COMES AND KONCKS U OFF A BULIDING OR KILLS YOU OR MAKES YOU WANTING TO JUMP WHEN YOU THINK THERES NO OTHER WAY THATS THE DAY TO APPRECTATE 🙂
9/11 was sad. it was the first attack on united States soil. and 3,000 people died that day and I know that thoses people will never be forgotten. im all for the reconstruction, and the monument!
But i'm not okay with the mosk bieng built there its too closes and in considerite. they had a greek church that they have whanted to build for years and they wont give the okay on that but yes to the mosk?? is that just me or is it fishy??!
we mourn for those who died and try to get a fresh new start.
i think that people should stop on september 11 and remeber those
who died that tragic day.
I think that 9/11 sould be a day for the people who lost there loved ones
lee-ann's comment was stunningly insightful
I payed my respect to the people who died in the 9/11 attack because my aunt died in the attack! And our family hasn't ben the same since. we actually flew up to New York to visit the place where my aunt was burried alive. 🙁
i do think people should celabrate this today because even though it's sad it brought a country together. but it is very sad we should respect those people who lost there lives because who ever they where they will always be heroes. thank you for protecting are country.
9/11 was a terrible thing. In history we watched videos and read articles about this event. All i could think about while learning more about 9/11 was what their loved ones felt like
We should have respect for those who died or lived through 9/11.Kinda like pearl harbor. We respect those vets and people and we should respect those of 9/11.
It's weird to think that people can ignore a day like this, as if it never happened. I've heard people make jokes about the national terror and I can not comprehend why. Not only is it wrong, but it is completely disrespectful. This day should be respected by everyone, even if you didn't lose a family member in those attacks. It is a symbol of the strength in our nation, and it should not go by without notice.
I believe the 9/11 anniversary is a grieving time for most victims of loved ones , people who experienced it and more. Some people still can't even believe it happened and that it was a terrorist attack and that someone would do such a terrible thing . I consider the 9/11 as a 911 attack meaning " get help fast ". In my class we researched how many muslims are terrorists and we realized there aren't as many as we thought. There are only about 6 percent.
It's so sad what happend but, now it is the future and we should think bigger and forget about saddness and move on to the happiness and STOP thinking about lives we have lossed and think of lives we have gained . There are NO accidents. So, what happened did happen for a reason with out the attack the whole country and mabye the world would be different.
i think that all of the people that died that day and their families should decide what to do with the area.... to me i think that this shouldn't cause a problem.
It feels like 9/11 happened yesterday. 9/11 had a huge impact on America because over 2,000 people died and it started a war. I wonder what they are going to build there.
i think that they should do what the survivers would of wanted
The 9/11 aniversery is a very memerable thing that happend in history. There never should ever be an islamic center any where near that area it might offend some of the faimilys.
ALL THE DEAD PEOPLES FAMILYS SHOULD DECIDE HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT.
I think that the 9/11 memorial is a good idea for all those people who lost a loved one and for those who didn't but it's still the same. I don't think they should build a Mosque near ground zero. I know there trying to help but for some people it's like rubbing salt in an open wound.
I remember where I was when I found out. At the time, I didn't think it was that big of a deal because as a 5 year old, I was naive and thought that because this kind of event happened in movies all of the time, the attack wasn't that big of a deal. Media had somehow desensitized me. Now, I realize the magnitude of the event.
God bless the families of everyone who died that tragic day.
9/11 is something we should keep in our hearts because,
like us no, many children died that memoriable day too.
that was a bad day 🙁
i think that this is a good but sad day to make people remember the importance of the firefighters that died in the susside plane
i feel so sorry for the people that had family friends or just anybody. that type of stuff nobody really think about it. its the type of stuff that happens in movie and stories. even though it sad and painful they need to stop. everyone knows about 9-11 but as the stories go around and around people keep changing it. its like telephone at the end its differnet than what really happen. and people are having negative affections and blaming people who dont know.
Poor people! We feel sooooooooo bad for them! WE LOVE YOU PEEPS! ALSO CARL AZUZ: LOVE YA NAME BRO!
You shouldnt be affraid to go agaisnt people that are bigger then you, even if you know your going to be beat, it teaches the kids to quit and not even try.
