Paying Parents?

As a former teacher, I know the value of parents who are involved in their child's education. Now, as a parent, I'm finding out just how tough it can be to get involved when you have a full life. In Friday's show, we spotlight a Delaware school district's plan to bring parents into the building – parents who come to open house or a conference get money for their child's college savings. Many experts agree that when parents are involved, students do better in class. But some people say you shouldn’t have to pay parents to do what they are supposed to do anyway. Now we want to hear from you – what do you think of paying parents to get involved?
