My grandfather served in World War II. One of my uncles is a Marine (retired); another is an Airman (retired). I'll thank them today along with any other veterans I meet - we hope you'll do the same for the veterans in your life.
And if you'd like to give a Shoutout here to any veterans you know, we welcome it! May God bless all who've served.

I think that it is great that they serve our country and protecting people and my uncle doug was in the army but he retired in 2004
I think that we should respect the veterans beater than we do now. I mean we do now but I think that it could be beater.
My dad is a veteran and he rocks yahhhh
I thank all veterans who have served for the U.S. I appreciate all that you have done for our nation. Thank you.
All my grandfathers have served in vietnam and my great grand father served in world war II, Also my dad is serving there right now in iraq.
It is important to honor all who have been in the wars that have came and past, the ones going on now, and then ones that will. One person who I think we should Honor from my town was Craig Watson who died while serving for our country.
Well I really have no one to shout out to except for all though people that fought for our rights and our country! An to Craig Watson that use to live in my home town and died while serving Iraq.
My grandfather also served in world war ll. I thank him today for going and doing all that stuff that he did. My uncle also was over in Iraq a few years ago and I have already thanked him and my grandfather. I think that his is one of the most important days in our life time.
thank you to all of the men and woman that served and had the bravery to walk in the war and risk their lives..
thanks =)
I had a grandpa that was in World War 2 on the SS New Orleans he died this past summer at age 84. Then in 2005 A guy named Craig Watson from our town was killed at age 18 or 19 in Iraq. THANK YOU VETERANS!!!
I'd like to give a loving shout-out, to my grandfather that has passed away. His name was Danny Kijac. I wasn't lucky enough to be able to meet him.
I would like to thank my uncle who was an navy officer and father who was an air force both retired.
My grandfather was World War II I haven't seen him in a couple of years but I know where he lives so I could go see him.
My grandpa had served in the vietnam war and i just want to say thank you for searving for the country. If no one served we we be in a lot of trouble.
I would like to say thank you to my dad. He was in the golf war, and he job was to be a sniper and be on the ship to shoot plains down. So thank you dad.
Thanks to my grandfather he is a veteran one of my uncles is a veteran to. Thanks to all the other veterans.
I just want to say thanks to all veterans because they all surved are country and rise some thing so thank you
Today i think everyone around our country should thank at least one of the thousands of veterans. They have done so much for our country and the least we could do is say thank you. Happy Veterans Day!!
Veterans day is one of the best holidays we have. I think a lot of people underrate it though. Here we are, going on with our lives when there are loyal soldiers out there laying their life on the line. Every day that we have soldiers out there should be veterans day.
I would like to say thanks to all the veterans.
I think that every veteran that fought in the wars deserve to be honored, and also thanked.
I think all Veterans for suverving are home so we can have a better life in the long run my father is a veteran my uncle makes guns for the soldiers and one of my familys close friend`s sun is Iraqu right now and we are and every person on our side should be proud of every thing the Veterans did and still are doing for us this day and many more to come.
There was a young man that served in Iraq who my dad had known very well. His name was Craig Watson and he had died in 2005.
I think that it is good that we do this because I mean were not risking our life but they are and if you don't thats like saying we don't care.
If only I had a veteran in my family...I feel dishonorable knowing that your grandfather and two of your uncles were so valiant and loyal to their country! I only know one person who's currently serving in the army. He's had to sacrifice a lot of his time staying in Iraq when he could be at home spending time his children. How dreadful that must be!
My dad served in the army and he was there for 4 months and I was just born so he didn't get to see me when I was born. So I am really greatful to be able to say that he served in the army.
Give 'em the devil, Grandpa!
Veterans day is so important! I know my grandfather served in the army and my dad was stationed in Italy while he was in the army and it makes me proud to know that my family has been that brave! Today is a very special day for them and we should all thank everyone we know who has ever served our country. I think this year it is especially memorable because we have a new president-elect and there are so many changes being made.
I would like to thank all veterans for serving and volunteering to serve in active services, especially Steve Foster, my dad. He has not been deployed but he is still prepared incase he has to go over seas. Thank You Dad, I love you very much. And thank YOU other veterans for fighting for our country. It is because of you that we are where we are now. I greatly appreciate all that you have done for this wonderful country. God Bless You All and Happy Veterans Day!!!
What do I think of Veterns? I think it was a good idea to have verterns day. How am I going to honar the veterns. I'm going to stay with my neighbor and spend time with him.I will listen to the storys that he has to say about the war.Thats how I'm going to honar the veterns.
Thank you for everything you have done for our country. You help give us the gift that few people in the world have. Thanks to you, we're free.
I want to give a shoutout to my neighbors son in law !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel that you should honor veterns through the year because some of them have bad memories of what happen when they were fight in the wars. My Grandpa and Dad are both retired Air Force Personal. I love both of them dearly even when I dont see them very often. I feel proud to have a Grandpa and Dad that severed in the United States Military.
I have a lots of people in my famile that have sevre so I oner Veterans
My great uncle fought and died in the veterans war. What is really sad though is that he died on his nephews birthday. I wish i could have met him because i bet he was cool. Go veterans!
i think that it is a very good thing that the veteran got a new home that is totally awesome. They should do that more often when a solider comes home.
My cuisine is married to a guy named tom witch is in the military.
i would like to thank all of the veterans for serving our country and keeping us safe.
I think the veterans should be honored because they did whatever they did to make our county that much better.
My uncle served in the war. He died before I was born. But I thank him and all of the others.
Thank you to all the veterans today for protecting our freedoms as americans and I hope that other people will thank you... you guys deserve it.
My grandfather was in the only war that United States lost but that don't matter I am just glad that he is here today.

My Grandfather served in World War 2 but he passed away in September but Im still proud to have someone related to me that fought for my freedoms. I hope that more people in my family fight along side each other to protect our great country.
R.I.P (Mike Muscleman)
Veterans gave us our freedom and i think we should respect them for that. GO VETERANS!
Happy Vets Days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think we need to give a special thank to the they lost there live or injured the self to keep us safe and to make sure we will make it through
I think that every november 11th is the best day of our lives because the people that fought in a war (any war) should be celebrated for fighting for our country and doing the best that they could to have beaten the other army members form somewhere else. And I think that the Veterans should get their day to where they can remember what they have done in the past.
Thank you guys
My grandpa [papa] was an air force in the Koren War. He would always have a picture of him young and getting ready to fly.
It was awkward that in 11:11am of 11/11/08 my class made a small letter towards the Veterans while I learned the origin of the holiday and why they use the poppy flour as a symbol.
I learned today, that they used that flower because of a man who wrote a poem called"In Flander's Field" which talked about a friend he lost in a battle and how the Poppies grew in the field where the battle has struck.
The vetrans in the world need a little cheering up these days.
I think that selibrating vetrans day ,is like telling the .u.s vetrans thank you for everything they have done for our country. still haveing you in our country is a blessing!
Happy veterans day to all the people who had sacrifice their bodies and sometimes life for some of rights to say whats on our mind.
You Guys Rock!
i like the idea to have a day to celebrate all the people that fight for our country. They deserve it cause of what they do
My uncle is a veteran and was in the gulf war and has been in the war on terror, so I totally realise what the solders do for us so I would just like to give a big shout out to all those who have served for us because I really appreciate it allot so all you guys who dont really care and think that veterans day is just some big stoupid holliday, I would like you to think again.
My father was an army specialist and my grandfather on my mother's side was an air force gunman.
Veterans are extrodinary people and I want to give a gigantic thanks to all of the men and woman who served in all of those historical events.
My granpa was a veteran in Veitnam and my best friend Lil's was in the Korean War. I thought that was cool.
Today I went to Lowe's. And when my family was hcecking out the clerk said are you in the military and we all said no. My mother asked well if you're in the military would you of got a discount? The clerk said yes you would have. We thought oh I remember it was Veteran's Day. My family thought it was unfair but after all they are miltary and wrok hard. We are veterans though too so I think we deserve something. A shoutout to all veterans: THANK TO ALL VETERANS WHO SERVE AND HELP THIS COUNTRY TO GROW STRONGER IN A BETTER WAY AND BETTER WAYS. Thanks!
Happy Veteran's day to all Amercian citizens and veterans!
I think that people that give up there time to serve us should get more, but the MOST DEFENTIALY deserve a day. I wanna say thanks to them!
Love you guys!
I think it is good that we honor veterans because they were the ones that made our country free and the ones who risk their lives to keep it that way.
I think every one in the army who has served or is serving should have a day off ton remind themselves what they did in any war.
I think it is a good idea to honor veterans because they need to feel that we really appreciate them.
we should honor veterans more often they risk their life for us that is very brave keep up the good work
go veterans
veterans day is very important to me because my grand father was in a war so go and spend the day with him.
god bless America and all who have served. If you stop and think they are the only reason we are alive so thank everyone you know that is a vetran
Yesterday was a great day! Most of my family served in one of the forces. My dad was a veteran from the Army, my grandfather was in the Military. (Wow that must have been bad) and my 21 year old brother was in the Navy. Much of my family served, but non of them were injured thank god!
Out of all the holidays ever made Veterans day is probably the one that America should have the most because it actually has true meaning and I hope that one day all of our soldiers will come home.
I'd like to give thanks to my daddy who is a retired marine and my grandfather they deserve it
My Uncle is 19 and serving in Iraq right now and my dad served in the army when he was younger. Thanks to all the veterans. Today's and Tomorrow's.
My favorite teacher is a Veteran, Col. Guy. I had him last year for my Science teacher. He would tell us stories all the time about his friends and just stories about the war. It gave the whole class appeaciation for what he did and for what others like him did also. Thank you for protecting our country!
two of my great grandfathers served in WW2. one died and the other was a very highly ranked in the navy. I also i a uncle who was in the green berets, he died trying to rescue the 98 amercian hostages in Iran in 1980.
I thank the veterans for making the United States safe and for fighting all our wars across the seas.
My grandfather in law fought Marxism in WW2 on the russian front and lost both his brothers the same way. Now the nation we're in is going to be lead by one... What a shame. Looks like all the men who died in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam to stop communism, regardless of what nation they fought for, have died in vaine.
Hey, Yesterday I took second place in a Voice of Democracy Essay contest. I told a story of a vetern who i met at a table, while i was being a roadie, helping with the equipment for a band. I stand by all of our Vetrens. Thank you to all....
Yesterday I was honoring all those who fought in the war for our safety, and for our freedom. God bless all those who have died and who are still alive after all that they been through. My shout out is to my cousin Harvey who was K.I.A when he was fighting in the war in iraq. He was a marine and was 27 years-old when he got shot. He got shot in the middle of his forehead by a sniper. That was a bad day when we found out and i'll always miss him. We will always remember those who served and my cousin that was killed. We are always missing them if their lives got taken away and we will pray for the one that are alive.
I think it is great that we have Veterens Day. People don't realize what people in the Armed Forces really go through when they are in the army. My grandfather was in the military. And I was sure to thank him every Veterens Day.
HEY GOD BLESS ALL THAT HAVE SERVED!!!

My cousin or uncle or something was is in the army and he recently got back from Iraq, also my grandfather (diseased but not from the war) served i think that it is a great thing that these people do but i wish they didn't have to... PEACE

My dad was in Iraq and Kuwait. My mom's dad served in the Korean War but sadly died of cancer. 10/17 was the aniversary of his death. My dad's dad was an engineer. I'm hoping to be in the army one day. I am extremely proud of my heritage. Because I'm proud to be an American..........that's a song I almost always sang when I was young. I'm proud of my dad, his dad, and my dad's father-in-law, because first there's strong.................and then there's A*R*M*Y* *S*T*R*O*N*G*!!!! And to all the army men, Navy sailors, Marines, and Air Force pilots (one of my friends named Matthew has a dad in the air force), I hope you make it home safely!! And if you don't, I truly hope your family can deal with the impact of the news.
My grandpa Louis Jones fought in the Vietnam. I LOVE YOU GRANDPA! <3
