The Olympics are only 3 days away – and we're busy planning next Monday's summer Webcast, which is going to focus on the Beijing Games. It's our last summer show and we'd like to get your input. If you were producing the program, what types of segments would you include? For example: Which Olympic athletes might you profile? What issues related to China and the Games might you address?
And just out of curiosity...have you ever wished that you could participate in the Olympics? If so, in what event would you want to compete?

I have never had the urge to compete in the Olympics, too much work. See that's an attitude that isn't very useful in this sorta thing. I would put videos of the winners and races and what not and also a brief history about the Olympics. I want Tibet to be free but i think ppl should just cool it with the protesting 'cause no matter how much they protest they aren't being moved. Oh and i don't know any of the athletes going to the Olympics so i would just profile the American team. USA USA!
yo!! i'm first!!!!
I would love to be in the Olympics! If I had the drive to do it, I would be in swimming! That would be soooo awesome. You should profile Michael Phelps and some of the youngest people competing in the Olympics. I think it's awesome that they can have such drive and talent and be only 16. Goodness! I'm 16! I could be going to the Olympics this year. WERID! 😀
You should also profile the under-profiled sports like fencing or waterpolo. It would be cool to learn about the events and training the athletes do. Or maybe BMX Biking or the X Games(I think they were going to be in the Olympics?). There's tons of chocies. 🙂
Also I would profile how because China had added tons of new buildings and skyscrapers they have added more pollution and taken out peoples homes. Or about how they "went green" with their Olympic Buildings. I watched a program on it on National Geographic.
I'm just FULL of ideas today! 😀
I would like to be in the Olympics one day too, Sara! I want to be in running, bycling or plaing table tennis, I think those two are F-U-N!!! It would be pretty awesome to know that all those people are all watching you, but I think I'd get a little or very nervous.
When I see all those athletes from my country and others from around the world, I felt excited. Most people from around the world - asians, europians, americans, africans; blacks, whites, and yellows(Is that correct?)-are all getting together from an event that only happens once four years!
China added many new buildings and by being green, but many of the old buildings which are mostly important to the culture and people living there are also detroyed. That's so sad!
I wish ALL the people can look at how great the Olympic at China this year is! I know that it's not always perfect or something, but it's still fantastic.
And, last of all, to all the athletes from around the world : GO! GO! GO! BE THE BEST YOU CAN AND YOU'RE THE W-I-N-N-E-R !!!!!!!!!!
My favorite events are kayaking and white water.
US AND IRAN 🙂 BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo! You're not the first but the second!
I wish that i could compete in olympic archery (If there is such thing). I love shooting my bow and i would love the diverse competition that the world provides. It would be cool to represent my country well in a sport thats just as old as most of the events of today
Michael Phelps is the best HOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA
USA USA USA USA
That is so wrong to not let those kids play baseball just because Jericho is a better player than the other kids. The other kids just need to deal with it and let them play because if they were better they would still want to play!
