Special: Black in America

In today's Webcast, we paralleled part of CNN's Black in America coverage by focusing on apparent disparities between some black and white students.  As you hear in the program, a Harvard study found that, "in urban areas, the average black student performs on a level about four years below his peers."  It's a surprising statistic, but it isn't something that goes unnoticed.  Many schools and programs nationwide are taking action to address the issue, with teachers, administrators, parents and coaches working closely with students to help them turn things around or increase their chances for success.

We're interested to hear your impressions of today's special, as well as the sound bites and statistics it brought you.
