Prom Night Rescue
How many people can show up a little late to prom with the excuse, "Oh, I had to help rescue someone on the way over"? Sarah Ridgeway and Andrew Voiles could say that. As Ridgeway pointed out, they were both EMT students, and they both got the opportunity to use what they'd learned in class to help someone in need. The fact that they were on their way to prom makes this story even better: It shows that nothing – not even prom – can stop some people from doing the right thing. (Plus, they still made it to the dance, which is AWESOME.)

Wow! That is so amazing! I really wish more people were this giving. If everyone did one nice thing a year like these people think of how much of an impact to our world there would be!

Hey Carl your my favorite anchorman, your the bomb. But with this topic i think alot of people can get away with it . I mean they payed for the ticket and if they want to waste their money and show up late so be it.
PS Mr. Carper is my favorite teacher!
I thought it was awesome for them to possibly sacrifice their evening together to help the other couple in need. Sometimes people only think of their momentary happiness; but, these two were truly caring people and a GREAT example. Keep it up! 😀

yeah i really doubt i would have believed them. Plus after all that hubba bub I don't think I would have been in the mood to start dancing the night away. I would have kept worrying about the couple.
The high school kids saved that couples lives and will be known as heros there whole lives!!!!

That is so brave to help someone while on your way to prom. That shows how responsible and caring you are towards another person.It also shows how much you learned and how good you paid attention.

Thats almost the opposite that happened to my brother, his date drank alchohaul on the way to prom! This wasn't the olny thing either, his best friends date did the same thing and their other friend broke up with his date at the prom! This just goes to show that prom can be both a good and a bad thing.
That's amazing how they just forgot about the prom and decided to help some random person they probably didn't know. It goes to show that some people are not self-centered and actually care what happens to people around them. I'm not saying that some people don't do that, but the fact that they're actually being reconized for it is a good thing, maybe it will help other people make that decision too.
I think that is totally cool how they saved put aside their own needs to save someone else's life. Especially on a night when it was going to be all about them. Awesome!
i think that this is totally awsome...you get to help someone and still make it to your prom to party is a really great thing and i would love to meet sarah and andrew they sound like real heros
I think those guys are so cool! They helped rescue people with car trouble then brag about it at prom night, sounds awesome!
This is just like something out of a comic! Some people on the way to a prom stop and help those in need! It's incredible!
If others were like this the world would be a better place. People need to start caring about these things.
wow! that is so cool. someone that is that nice... you know that they wiil be a "someone" one day and no one is going to stop them. we need kind people like this couple in the world. if people started to care about others like this the world would be a better place. i am so proud of them.
