Dream Job

The position of president isn't the highest-paying job in the country, but it's probably the most stressful.  Ever notice how much presidents, particularly two-term presidents, age while they're in office?  Even jaunts to Camp David are often working vacations, and, just like what we do at CNN, the president's always needed when there's breaking news.

I love what I do, but as a kid, I never thought I'd be a news anchor.  I remember saying I wanted to be a pilot (something I'd still like to be in my spare time), a fireman, a dentist, and, at one point, a milkman (don't ask).  But Thursday's report on the president's salary and the opportunities a commander-in-chief has after leaving office made me want to do a blog on dream jobs.  What's yours?  And what was it when you were a kid?

well, my dream job is to be a sports reporter for either the cavaliers (cleveland) or the portland trail blazers. i'd also love to be a sports reporter for the dallas cowboys someday. i also love to cook, but those two don't really fit together. dude, i'd really not want to be the president, cause people either love ya or hate ya, and i wouldn't appreciate the hate too much. its not even that good of $ for what you go through!

Since the age of 5 – where I first sat on board of a plane – I wanted to be a pilot! Last summer I started flying gliders and I'm going to have my license within the end of this year's summer.

After school, I'd like to go to Lufthansa and start my flight schooling.

I'm just heavily afraid of those test they do before, especially the first one. My problem is a bit of math, that's all. I know so much about flying, I am capable of controlling planes on the flight simulator, just as the real guys do.

I fly gliders, because I hope that they'll notice my will to do this! My problem now is, that all those psychologists kind of rule over Lufthansa or over the people who get kicked out in the tests. They don't say "Hey, he's a good feller, he loves to do it, let's get him!", they are more like "Well, he shows too much, that he loves it, let's kick him out and get those guys who think, flying is nothing usual."!
That's the one thing, that really gets me sleepless nights, because I want to do it, there's no joke in that!!
And everyone, who did the test says something else as the other guy, it's crazy!

...and if it only was a dream job for me, it wouldn't have lasted for 13 years in my head and heart.

I wouldn't mind being a senior cabinet member to the next president. But realistically I have always wanted to be a pilot or a fireman. A pilot, because I love to fly (and I have FS2004 for my PC), and a fireman because fire doesn't scare me and I would love to help people and save lives.

When I was 5 years old, my dream job was to become a dectective. I remember seeing shows on T.V. that looked pretty neat. My parents always told me that I asked alot of questions and so I thought a dectective was the right job for me. A couple years later, I started to play baseball. My dream job since I was about 8 is to become a Major League Baseball player. I am now a junior and trying to accomplish that dream. I started playing baseball in Hawaii when I was around 5. Since then, I've played on about 8 teams in 5 different countries. Who would have thought that I would be playing the same sport 10 years later. I also played baseball in Thailand and that was kind of hard because there isn't much baseball there. Soccer is the main sport in that country. I continue to play my sport and hope that one day I will be playing professional baseball.

I want to be Goldberg! I want to be The Rock! I want to be a WRESTLER! Ever since I was just a little tadpole, I have always dreamed of becoming a WWE wrestler and fighting against thugs like the Giant and Sting! But the funny thing about that is that I am working very hard to be on that show and fighting on that canvas. I am working out every day of every week of every month. I want to be a GREAT WRESTLER!! AAAHHHHH! I can feel it! I know someday I will be on that show as a wrestler and everyone will know me as: "The Molester". AHHHHHH!

I was a bit surprised on your segment today about illegal immigration and its impact on various states. I was surprised that Arizona was not included. The Tucson Sector has the most activity, when it comes to illegal immigration. The impact of that, is felt through out the state.

Arizona's Governor, Janet Napolitano and the State Legislature here, are having trouble balancing the budget. One of the contributing factours: the cost of goods and services the state provides to illegal immigrants, for which the state is NOT re-imbursed.

All border states have this problem, but Arizona is impacted the hardest, since we have the highest activity.

My dream job would definitely have to become president and as a girl, there is still the possibility I might be the first female president. And as a part of extra info, the president of the United States is the least paid president. While it is believed that the Japanese president is the highest paid president.
