Triceratops for Sale

$734,000 may seem a little steep for anything you'd put in your house; I think my coffee table was about a hundred bucks.  Then again, my coffee table didn't once weigh five tons and roam the earth 65 million years ago.

One of my friends owns a racecar.  Another has an antique biplane; a third has an air hockey table; someone else I know has an autographed photo of Clive Owen.  One thing I guarantee, though:  NO ONE has a real, fossilized triceratops in her living room.  And maybe that's why it's expected to fetch a price that's higher than most houses cost.

Would it be creepy to have at home?  I don't think so.  Triceratops were herbivores, so even when they had skin and heartbeats, we wouldn't have been on the menu.  After Jurassic Park, though, I don't plan on bidding for the next velociraptor or T-rex that hits the auction block...
