Heath Ledger's Death
We had a long discussion about whether to air the Heath Ledger story in January when the actor was found dead in a New York apartment. We held off at that time because there was so little known about how he died. The initial autopsy was inconclusive, and we didn't want to speculate or put something out there without having many of the answers ourselves.
After getting Wednesday's report by the New York medical examiner's office, we felt we had enough information to properly tell the story in Thursday's show. If you'd like to tell us what you think – either about our decision or about Ledger's tragic death – we welcome your comments.

I can't believe Heath Ledger died. His daughter probably comes home and says where's daddy. I feel so sad.
I'm honestly a little upset about the whole thing. People like Heath Ledger shouldn't show their fans that overdosing is a normal thing. It's not. So many stars overdose every year...why do you think so many students nowadays take drugs? Because our society makes it normal.

I'm so sorry that he died so young. And I don't know why he died, what makes he died.....it just because of drugs? I don't think so...
the death is mysterious but you never know some one might hae did it and cleaned pu god or he might have killed himself.
Heath Ledger's death is still leaving me with unanswered questions..I mean depression is one thing to deal with but yet have him on pain-killers at the same time..geez..doctors do not do enough examination to what these combinations of medicines can do. I feel so bad for not only his family but his fans as well...I mean I am a lesbian and I loved the fact he came out in a wonderful movie, "Brokeback Mountain" .. it had some of what I am going through just not ...well that is another topic. Either way, I hope his family takes this and makes something good of it as in dont stay down and blue. Cheer up cause he didnt leave any of us at all..he is still here with us in some shape or form. Regardless, how he died. Just know that he died and is an angel among us not only that but his memories are cherished!

I cant belive he died .iknow that was a hard time for his family and all the people that loved him and respected him but it was specialy hard to belive for his wife mom and kids. I fell so sorryed.
Irony, by far. Heath Ledger was such an inspirational actor. It's a lot like the death of Steve Irwin, I'm sure no one was expecting it.
I think his doctor preskribed him tom much meds at once I mean more than 6 meds thats insane
That is really depressing. Heath Ledger was a role model, and people followed him. I am worried they'll still follow him, and also think drugs are okay. Prescription drugs are fine, IF you ask a doctor if a combination is not lethal. Don't do drug overdose or a combination of drugs!
I think its so sad that Heath Ledger died at age 28.I think that the police sould start invetigating and askin the docors that gave Heath Ledger the pills cause they might have something to do with it.But i think it was such a sad day when Heath Ledger died.
Hetah Ledger was awesome! Everyone loved him, unless they were against homosexual movies. Heath is happy now and that is what matters he is hopefully in peace and we all know that he will remain to live on through his daughter.
OMG! I can't belive he died! ugh! The students at Beaver Dam High School in Beaver Dam Wisconsin were in total shock! We just could not belive it. In his memory we made "R.I.P Heath Ledger. We will miss your Hott bod" Locker Signs and posted them everywhere. Let it be known that Heath Ledger is still in our hearts and on our lockers.

What happened to Ledger is a tragedy. He didn't have many lead roles but was a great supporting actor in many recent films. I don't believe that he overdosed on purpose. It can be very easy to mess up while taking medications. I believe that his role as Joker truely did mess with him because his fans and his friends witnessed a definite change in his appearance and demeanor when he started filming the upcoming Batman movie.
