In the sphere of Student News superlatives, the "Shoutout" undoubtedly wins "most popular."  We decide when to air these during our daily editorial meetings, when we discuss when Shoutouts are appropriate, what to ask, how to ask it, and what the options should be.  It's probably the same way teachers create multiple choice tests, but with music and graphics and an animation that reminds me of disco.

We usually dedicate a Shoutout to a specific class on Fridays throughout the school year.  And though the list of requests is pretty long, we do our best to recognize most teachers who write in.  So please keep the requests coming; the link is here.
