Cameras, Privacy, and Security

At school, at stoplights, at the mall, on the street - you don't have to look very hard to find security cameras.  Some people feel this is an invasion of privacy - that it's impossible to go about our daily business without being recorded.  Others say it helps keep us safer - after all, security cameras helped identify the suspects in the Boston terror bombings.

Where do you stand on the debate?

From On-Air to Online?

Laptops, tablets, and phones, oh my!  That's how an increasing number of Americans are watching TV.  And they're doing it on their own terms, by streaming or DVRing their favorite programs and watching whenever it's convenient - as opposed to waiting for something to come on and then running for a snack during the commercial break.

Is this a bad sign for cable and satellite TV as we know it?  Hard to say this early on.  But we'd like to know whether you could completely unplug from a cable or satellite provider and see all of YOUR shows over the Internet.

College Expectations

Some folks hope going to college will help them get a better job down the road.  For others, it's all about the "college experience" (however they define that).  Some people want to continue learning all they can in a school environment, and for many, it's a combo of these things.

If you're planning to go to college, what do you hope to get out of it?  And if you're not planning to go, please tell us your reason(s) why.

Building Up vs. Tearing Down

It wasn't "tough love" being used with a Rutgers University basketball team.  Coach Mike Rice, who was seen on video cursing and throwing basketballs at some players, was accused of being abusive.  Rice has since admitted he was wrong, saying "there was no excuse" for his behavior.

The story brings up a tough question:  Where do you draw the line?
