Phrases that Annoy You

Posted: 09:55 PM ET

That's the subject of Friday's last segment, and while the word "whatever" doesn't really bother me too much, "it is what it is" drives me up a wall.  "My bad" used to bug me a lot, too.

Our producer hates the line "Who let the dogs out?" though I think it's pretty funny.  When growing up, a lot of my friends dreaded the words "Wait 'til your father gets home."

And back in high school, I think everyone hated "Let's just be friends" – except the person saying it.

Tell us what phrases annoy you.

what annoys me the most is when people say "it is what it is" because sometimes people are so pathetic they can't even try to change what it "is"

Chris   October 8th, 2009 10:46 pm ET

I personaly hate the phrase "just a minute" or "in a little bit" because they always say it will just take a second but it feels like it takes a century.

Shelby   October 9th, 2009 12:57 am ET

One phrase that really annoys me is "We'll talk about it later," especially from my mom. She should just say no, save me some time.

Amir   October 9th, 2009 2:28 am ET

I have here my most annoying phrase spoken by my math teacher; "You have done a good work." The next thing you know you have in your hands a -D. "Whatever" is annoying of course and "I dunno" is a real blood pressure riser but I think the first one is the one which makes me wanna punch his nose.

Steve   October 9th, 2009 9:58 am ET

I really can't stand the phrase "like, you know." Some people put it everywhere in their sentences, like, you know, just to separate ideas, you know, like it was a comma.

I think the cross symbolizes the veterans who fought for our country.I don,t think the cross was put up to offend anyone or a person,s religion. Now that there are more cultures and religions and we have to include everyone so it would be fair move it to a different location not on government land so everyone would be happy.

Jamie   October 9th, 2009 2:20 pm ET

I hate it when I'm talking to someone and they'll say something like, "did you hear about the space probe crashing to Mars?" And I'll say, "don't you mean the Moon?"
To finish this conversation that's quickly getting weird they'll say "same difference." Which makes no sense.

Alexis   October 11th, 2009 11:09 am ET

the pharase that annoys me the most is it is what it is because when people say it they try to make them selves sound smart and like they no every thing but to me it is just weird

Mackenzie   October 11th, 2009 11:11 am ET

My sister gets on my nerves sometimes when she combines words to describe something. Like one time she called me "Annauseating" which is annoying and nauseating. How can someone be nauseating? She also has these other really annoying phrase like "for cereal". And it really bugs me when she talks in spanish or calls me "kiddo". But the all-time worst phrase ever is "whatevs". Whenever someone says that I just want to scream at them.

Haley :)   October 11th, 2009 11:34 am ET

I hate it when people say "no offense" Like, they'll be all like, "hey no offense, but you really suck at volleyball" It just annoys me!

Derek   October 11th, 2009 9:24 pm ET

what annoys me is OMG, LOL, and JK JK.

Beck   October 11th, 2009 9:56 pm ET

Word! Kids everywhere in Alaska are saying this and it has no real meaning, except to cause confusion. Does it mean you agree or does it mean you think the topic is dumb. Word!

Amir   October 12th, 2009 2:37 am ET

Another phrase I hate but hear frequently from my mom; "Watch when you go, sonny."

i get really annoyed when people say "let me think about it" because they usually don't.

Nick   October 12th, 2009 11:06 am ET

I was, and still am surprised that the word "like" was not in there. It can be used to show example, but when it is a word used multiple times in a sentence, it is overused, and annoying.

Shelby   October 12th, 2009 1:19 pm ET

"Whatever" really annoys me because you know that you're talking to doesn't really care.

Claire   October 12th, 2009 2:14 pm ET

" be there in a sec." really drives me crazy. they say that they'll but don't come until five minutes later.

Mary   October 12th, 2009 2:22 pm ET

because i said so really kills me. it's not even a good come back. and to answer Samantha i love saying blech. in fact i say ublech.

Nik   October 12th, 2009 3:41 pm ET

I think Obama should not make school days longer because i bet his kids would not want that. Anyway people struggle for money so taxes would be higher if school days are longer.

Dreyiss   October 12th, 2009 4:14 pm ET

I think that it is important that they keep founding the space station because if they are trying to find cures for us as a nation and people we should be thankful for it and really appreciate it.

Angela   October 12th, 2009 4:36 pm ET

The phrase that annoys me the most is "Stop asking questions!" because naturally, we all have questions. We can't help it; if we didn't ask questions, would we really learn much?

shayni   October 12th, 2009 7:31 pm ET

the phrase that really bugs me is 'its not me its you'. why do people have to say that they could just say your right or something else. i especially hate it when my mom or brother says it, it gets really annoying.

emily   October 12th, 2009 7:31 pm ET

The phrase that annoys me is "what ever" beacause the person does not listen to me and does not get the messege the way their soposed to.

Matthew   October 12th, 2009 8:06 pm ET

One phrase that annoys me is I will think about it because most of the time they don't think about it.

Matthew   October 12th, 2009 8:28 pm ET

I don't like "I'll think about it'" because they necer do

Mary   October 12th, 2009 9:49 pm ET

I think that the most annoying phrase is " "with all due respect", "no offense", and a couple of the sayings on the list. Why can't Americans not use slang or anything that isn't really a word.

anonymous   October 12th, 2009 11:32 pm ET

it is what it is,I don't know, whatever,Never mind, you wouldn't get it, forget about it, what do you care, why is this your business, whats it to you, be the bigger person, who da thunk it, it cant be that bad, deal with it, and oh well.

Michael   October 13th, 2009 8:27 am ET

i really dislike the usage of the word "blech" its just so agonizing!!!

george   October 13th, 2009 9:06 am ET

the phrases that annoy me is "stop don't to that" and "na ah"

J   October 13th, 2009 10:56 am ET

One phrase that has annoyed me beyond what I thought was possible, was the word "legit." CNN Student News has a segment on whether something is "legit or not" and ever since then, my fellow student, Eric, has frequently shouted out "legit!" in the middle of class, and incorporates it into basically every thing he said.

Preston   October 13th, 2009 10:57 am ET

The most annoying phrase that I get is " I will call you back" few hours later they finally call back, its so annoying.

kerri!!!   October 13th, 2009 10:58 am ET

the most frustrating when i ask my parents if i can do something, they say no, and i ask why and they say "because i said so" thats not a reason. ugh. and "just nevermind" is extremely annyoing.

Bree   October 13th, 2009 10:59 am ET

I hate the phrase “just a minute” because my mama says it all the time and she takes forever when she says that.

ak.   October 13th, 2009 11:02 am ET

A lot of phrases annoy me, but the worst one is 'legit' or something stupid that ONE person makes up that spreads to the WHOLE group of friends. Then it becomes insanely annoying and you NEVER hear the end of it, but right when it gets good& the phrase becomes extinct; ANOTHER ONE POPS UP. oh, and 'jk' reallllllly bothers me! And when people quote movies over and over again. People just need to stick with one term and NOT over use it.

Nick   October 13th, 2009 11:03 am ET

Phrases that I don't like change, however I have always HATED it when people say "exactly, you aren't doing anything!" when you are getting in trouble for no apparent reason and you say “I’m not doing anything". Another phrase that I don't like is the phrase "Life's not fair." I don't like this phrase because parts of life SHOULD be fair and can be, and this phrase prevents it from actually being fair!

asia   October 13th, 2009 11:05 am ET

One word that really grinds my gears is " wow you would say or do that". that really gets on my nerves because people always say that and it makes no sense? they just do it to annoy me!

Karissa   October 13th, 2009 11:07 am ET

Okay there is one phrase that really has to be cut.The thing I hear about 100 times a day is " are you dumb?" Okay NO im not dumb are you stupid? no didnt think so. No one is dumb just some people have a difficulty in subjects. Everyone has a weekness so seriously GET OVER IT that i dont have the same strengths as you. Well i would love to stay and chat but i have to get back to class. bye everyone!:)

caleb ;)   October 13th, 2009 11:08 am ET

I dont like the word ligit it's over used way to much and alot of people dont know what it means. :(

Patty   October 13th, 2009 11:38 am ET

I only have a few phrases that annoy me, one of them being when someone makes a word longer than it should be. For example, “aaaaaaanyway”. I hate it. There is no reason to do that. I also hate it when people overuse the word anyway. I also hate it when people take a quote from a movie and overuse it or act like it is their own. Another phrase that I absolutely loathe is when people say “Oh Em Gee” in daily life.

Belle   October 13th, 2009 12:01 pm ET

I hate when people say "sup" or something. They just need to say the whole thing
"WHAT'S UP?!"

Jacob   October 13th, 2009 12:02 pm ET

My bad, this is a phrase that my brother uses all the time, nonstop, he doesn't even use it in the right context. He also uses it to adults, which is disrespectful. Also, saying "like" during a sentence is annoying to me.

Auston   October 13th, 2009 12:03 pm ET

i hate when people take lyrics from lame songs and then get the sojng stuck in your head..

syera   October 13th, 2009 12:04 pm ET

I hate it when people say “whatever”, or when people say chill out. Or chill. It makes me so mad. Or when they say it’ll be okay and it wont, but there just saying that because they don’t want to help you or anything because it’ll take time of theres.

Draco   October 13th, 2009 12:06 pm ET

Some phrases that annoy me are old country slang words like “aint” and “ya’ll”. I don’t like it when people say “I hate…” it brings to much negativity into the world. Oh goodness, when people get something off a commercial like that stupid bing commercial they’ll be like “BIIIIINNNG” jeez louiz people. Chill out with the copying.

Hayden   October 13th, 2009 2:44 pm ET

The phrase that bothers me to death is definently "That just made my life" mostly because the person that says it says it way to much.

Haley   October 13th, 2009 2:45 pm ET

Everything annoys me. I love being back in school since fall break is over with. Some words annoy me but not all the time. I guess I can deal with it.

Aislinn   October 13th, 2009 2:46 pm ET

The phrase "your mom" really gets on my nerves. It’s over used and just plain stupid. It’s really not that funny. Most of the time people say it randomly in a conversation. People have been saying that for yrs! It’s about time that phrase goes away like most of them do.

Kati   October 13th, 2009 2:48 pm ET

Phrases that annoy me are " I know you are but what am I?" and "no offense". it's old sayings and not funny. it really gets on my nerves.

Lana   October 13th, 2009 2:49 pm ET

It really bothers me when someone starts to say something and then they stop and say "never mind"

alayna   October 13th, 2009 2:52 pm ET

What bugs me the most is "because I said so...” but it doesn’t make sense to do that. I get that one from my parents a lot. Or “okay, whatever you say...” it makes you feel like you’re wrong, when you know for a fact you’re not on something’s. I also really don’t like the phrase “I know you are but what am I?" I think that was popular when I was in elementary school, but some people still say it to me.

mason   October 13th, 2009 2:52 pm ET

Phrases that annoy me are “because”, “yeaaa”, and “it’s nothing”. When someone says “because” it is like them avoiding the question, they think they know everything but when you hear this you know they don’t. It isn’t the phrase “yeaaa”, it is the way my friend JJ says it. The last phrase that annoys me is “it’s nothing”. They say this even if it is something and they just don’t want to say it.

Joey   October 13th, 2009 8:41 pm ET

The phrase that annoys me most is its not rocket science because the teachers tell me that a lot.

Drew   October 13th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

Marcy   October 14th, 2009 1:49 pm ET

When I thank someone and they reply "no problem"- that just infuriates me! Why use two negative words, "no" and "problem" when you could simply and more graciously say, "you're welcome"?

Alex   October 14th, 2009 2:35 pm ET

A phrase that used to bug me was "Ask your dad" then I would, then my dad would say "Ask your mom". It's quite annoying.

"whatever" is the worst there is. When you are being serious and someone just says "whatever" it's just rude.

Danielle   October 14th, 2009 3:27 pm ET

"It's up to you". It really bothers me when people say that. Because if you ask somebody what they want to do and they say that....It's not helping at all

Laura   October 14th, 2009 5:16 pm ET

The phrase i hate is when people say, "whatever." and act like they dont care,

Jazzy   October 14th, 2009 6:30 pm ET

it really annoys me when people say "so yeah" more than once in a sentance oh and your silly puns are kinda getting anoying too

Holly   October 14th, 2009 7:48 pm ET

A prase that I hate is "She has lost herself in the woods and can't find herself."

sarah   October 15th, 2009 8:14 am ET

i think they are just fun words to use!! sometimes they can get really annoying. like when someone says watever when you are talking to them i get so mad!!! :)

ricky   October 15th, 2009 10:24 am ET

i dont like "watever" its really annoying i think it should be against the law to say that WORD!!!

Julia   October 15th, 2009 2:02 pm ET

I hate the phrase good old days dosent make cents

glamorous   October 15th, 2009 2:13 pm ET

that is like the main phrase at my highschool. especially with all the jocks and preps, all they do is walk around thinkin their stuff dont stink. and another phrase is your too fat.. ppl shouldnt judge.

Kylee   October 15th, 2009 2:51 pm ET

It is pretty annoying when someone says, thats what's up, after a while it can get on your nerves

Jayla   October 15th, 2009 3:14 pm ET

a phrase I hate is whatever because if someone says it to someone I think they dont care about it.

bj   October 15th, 2009 9:18 pm ET

the phrase that really grinds my gears is when people say ill get it to you tomorrow and then they forget and then it finally takes a month for them to get it to you

Lexi   October 15th, 2009 11:28 pm ET

I don't like it when my sister says "mmhmm............" It just gets me going. It's like shes trying to make me crazy. She does that when she belives I'm lying. Boys at my school say things like "He's beast boy!" I don't like that much either. It gives the boys to much credit if were in gym, and a boy did a cool thing and then they all start cheering. When a girl does that boys don't cheer. "Stranger Danger!" is another one and then people who do that back up with their feet.

stephanie   October 16th, 2009 8:15 am ET

i HATE the pharse "i don't think it's working out"

Lexi   October 16th, 2009 8:16 am ET

I don't like it when peple say "It's ok" well sometimes it's not okay. "Whatever" for me it is not so bad, but sometimes it gets annoying if one person uses it in everything they say. I dislike it when people look at me silently; they do that when they think I am lying. (it drives me nuts!) "Don't get your pants in knot!" What? It confuses me because pants can't really be tied in a knot if you are wearing them.

Ashley   October 16th, 2009 8:40 am ET

i hate it when people actually say LOL instead of actually laughing. :)

Sarah   October 16th, 2009 9:39 am ET

I get annoyed when I am having a conversation, and people litterally say "LOL". Seriously, you know its not funny when someone just says "LOL".

Katie   October 16th, 2009 9:52 am ET

Some phrases that annoy me is stuff like "Your mom!" and "That's what she said" or "Thats what he said"

Abby   October 16th, 2009 11:27 am ET

Phrases that annoy me are when people say the letters that you would type when texting or typing on MSN. For example, when people text so much they will -say- "oh em gee" and "el oh el" instead of saying something more proper or in a different way. Texting and instant messaging lingo coming out verbally bugs me.

Alyssa   October 16th, 2009 1:14 pm ET

The phrase that irritates me the most is "I have something to talk to you about....later." To me it's like, just tell me now, instead of making me obsess about it for the next couple hours.

Ariana   October 16th, 2009 1:15 pm ET

A word/phrase i think gets annoying is when people say "like" a lot in their sentences. for some reason, that just gets annoying after a while.

Taylor   October 16th, 2009 1:15 pm ET

some phrases that annoy me are "You Would" even though i say it all of the time. I also hate the phrase "like" when they use them in their sentences. When people abbreviate their words or the text phrases is really annoying

Sully   October 16th, 2009 1:17 pm ET

It really annoys me when people repeat themselves. Especially the word "What?" or my name.

Brittney   October 16th, 2009 1:19 pm ET

The phrase that bothers me that most is "it is what it is" because sometimes you don't know what they are talking about at times and then you are like what are you talking about and then they get really mad at you

Kensli   October 16th, 2009 1:19 pm ET

It really annoys me when people repeat themselves. For instance, when someone keeps asking What?

Peter   October 16th, 2009 1:20 pm ET

it really annoys me when people keep repeating themselves like when someone keeps asking "What?"

Brittany   October 16th, 2009 1:20 pm ET

I personally hate the phrase "that's what she said." Everybody now a days uses it out of context and it's just annoying when people use that phrase to answer every question you ask them. Also i hate it when people say "Girls". Im on the dance team at my school and, to get all of our attention everybody says "GIRLS, GIRLS, GlRLS!!!"

Jon   October 16th, 2009 1:21 pm ET

Oh my gawd really annoys me...

Soledad   October 16th, 2009 1:22 pm ET

One word that bugs me the most is "like' which for some reason people use a lot. One time I counted how many times a girls said 'like and she said it 'like' fifty times which made me laugh.

cody   October 16th, 2009 1:22 pm ET

"i dont care its up to u" is the worst annoying phase. i never know what i want to do i just want some one els to deside.

Lauren   October 16th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

It really annoys me when people keep repeating themselves for example when people keep saying the word, What?

kayla   October 16th, 2009 1:24 pm ET

i really dont like the phrases "like" and " ya no" i think there dumb because when i talk to my mom she tells me stuff like hey im so mad i just got this huge bill on the house. like duh mom i really have no idea and no i dont know im not old enough to no about house payments. and to many people use the phrase like omg i need my hair done or they use like evey other word in there sentences.

Emily   October 16th, 2009 1:34 pm ET

The phrase "that's what she said" used to be funny but now it gets over used and annoying.

Ashley   October 16th, 2009 4:56 pm ET

I hate the phrase, "just bare with me now"

Likela   October 16th, 2009 11:25 pm ET

I like really like hate the phrase like ya knowlike,

Carson   October 17th, 2009 9:07 pm ET

"You know?" Yes, I do know.

Siobhan   October 18th, 2009 1:24 am ET

The most annoying words are the ones that mix two or more words; "chillax" has got to be the worst so far. Either tell me to chill *or* relax, not both. Another is "ya'll". It's used mostly in the south, where they apparently can't say "you all".

picke   October 18th, 2009 12:42 pm ET

1 thing i dislike when people say to me is i know you are but what am i

Maria   October 18th, 2009 2:03 pm ET

"Ask your dad."

or

"Ask your mom."

Jake   October 18th, 2009 2:06 pm ET

People don't think that the phrase is annoying until they are the one being told that phrase!

nancy   October 18th, 2009 8:25 pm ET

one that gets me has to be, "WHATEVER!" AND "MY BAD" OO AND TALKING IN IM BUT I DO THAT SOME TIMES NOW THANKS TO MY FRIENDS!!!

Tara   October 19th, 2009 1:26 pm ET

What phrase that really makes me mad is "i know" well you don't know cause im just now telling you.

Gosh!

Emilio   October 20th, 2009 11:10 am ET

I hate the phrase "That's what she said". I don't get it at all and everytime I say something to my friend, he says it

kinsey   October 20th, 2009 12:53 pm ET

T1he phrase that really annoys me is "the grass ia always greener on the other side"

I also hate "she thinks shes all that and a bag of chips. my mom said that all the time

Tamaiya:]   October 20th, 2009 1:37 pm ET

Phrases that annoy are "Yes ma'am, no ma'am, yes sir, and no sir." I know it's respectful and all, but once one person says it to an elderly, then the elderly people wants everybody to say and nobody really likes to say that kind of stuff.

Lisa   October 20th, 2009 1:38 pm ET

Phrases that annoys me the most is " your face is.." like when someone trying to insult you. its annoying!

Paige   October 20th, 2009 1:39 pm ET

I think the phrase "OMG" is so stupid. What is a "OMG"

Anonymous   October 20th, 2009 1:42 pm ET

i HATE THE WORD "LIKE" BECAUSE PEOPLE USE IT UNNESSARILY. iT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SINCE TO SAY LIKE THAT MUCH. YA KNOW!!!!

Tisha   October 20th, 2009 1:42 pm ET

The Phrase That Really Bothers Me , Is' LIKE ! Its Seems Like Everyone Uses It All The Time . After Every Word They Say . It's Really Annoying.

Emily   October 20th, 2009 3:01 pm ET

I hate the phrase "dont worry about it" after you ask someone what they mean!!

bailey   October 20th, 2009 6:37 pm ET

beyonce   October 20th, 2009 11:11 pm ET

the one that really annyos me is "owell" and also thats what she says im mean i said my uncles boat is big and my friend said thats what she said and also the one that annyos me the most is saying right after everything. like when people tell you a story and there right and then you're like no it's wrong like oh i was at my house right? i mean

Tim   October 21st, 2009 8:55 am ET

another one that annoys me sometimes is let's not and say we did.

Medha   October 21st, 2009 6:04 pm ET

I hate when people say "um" between every sentence. If they have something to say they should say it with confidence. It makes the person they are talking to not take them seriously.

Kyle   October 21st, 2009 10:20 pm ET

I can't stand the phrase "Hold on" because they just say it unstead of saying wait, they are kinda saying to grasp something and it just can really confuse people sometimes....Go Carl!!!!!!

Frank   October 22nd, 2009 11:55 am ET

The Preps Really Anoyy Me There Always Like Omg Like Taotally Girl

Nick   October 22nd, 2009 3:11 pm ET

Nick   October 22nd, 2009 3:15 pm ET

I hate "whatever".

Katelynn   October 22nd, 2009 3:17 pm ET

The two most phrases I absolutly hate is "Are you ok" and um my friend asks me if im ok every ten miutes and when a student says um 15000 times in an oral report should get an F i swear!!!!!!!

Kayla   October 22nd, 2009 4:59 pm ET

"Whatever" and "K" bother me because it shows disrespect towards the person you're talking to. If you're telling them a long important message and their response is "K" or "whatever", it shows they don't care about what you just said. Even if you don't care, at least show respect by saying more than one word. It's offensive otherwise to probably a lot of people. A lot of us are guilty of it though, including me. You don't realize how it feels to be ignored until it happens to you though.

jessica   October 22nd, 2009 8:04 pm ET

i really the phrase "Your Mom" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i drives me crazy i absolutly that phrase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nikki ^3^   October 23rd, 2009 4:53 pm ET

I hate the phrase "we'll see" no we won't cause its usally no
:-| |

Addison   October 25th, 2009 5:33 pm ET

i think that one of the most annoying phrase is "OH NEVER MIND!" when you dont get it and the person just gives up on you!

Andrew918   October 26th, 2009 8:51 am ET

I hate OMG and like. When people say OMG they say it like O-–M--G and have this big time gap between every letter. My sister used to say like after every word she said and would take forever to say a sentence. Finally my aunt stopped her habbit.

skylar   October 26th, 2009 6:54 pm ET

I hate the phrase right back at you. :(

Dima   October 27th, 2009 12:06 am ET

I hate when people say "like' so many times in a sentence.

Trevor   October 28th, 2009 10:46 am ET

I think that " Oh my gosh" should be an annoying phrase because everyone says it and it gets on people's nerves alot. People say it when something exciting or something bad happens. I think it is pretty annoying and you should add that to the list or annoying phrases.

iZamu   October 28th, 2009 8:17 pm ET

'ohmahgawd!'SO ANNOYING!!!!!Especialy when EVERYONE says it ALL the time. You could use a much more creative phrase than that if you thought before you spoke.

Claire   October 29th, 2009 7:40 pm ET

one phrase that really annoys me is " oh for the love of pete." i mean who is pete

ribs   October 29th, 2009 7:55 pm ET

Latey i have realized the phrase "dont worry about it " annoys me the most of all, because when you hear something that you want to become a part of you ask " what are you guys talking about " and they respond " dont worry bout it " you immediately think that the people talking dont want your input in the conversation. Then you get curious and try to figure out whats going on, but no one ends up telling you what goes on.

Megan   October 30th, 2009 8:35 am ET

I think that OMG! and I know you are but what am I? Are really annoying! People say them all the time and it gets on my nerves!

Jenna   October 30th, 2009 9:59 am ET

Most all phrases annoy me.

Catherine   October 30th, 2009 11:25 am ET

textin lol is what anoyes me is starts the fire in my head

Joshua   October 30th, 2009 1:55 pm ET

A phrase that annoys me is the phrase wait till you father comes home like Carl Azuz said. That’s really annoying because your mom usally says that when you get in trouble.

Kaili   November 2nd, 2009 12:05 pm ET

A phrase that makes me mad is when people say "nevermind" They'll try to explain something, and if you dont get it the first time they just say, "nevermind". Another one I dont like is "Why cant you just get along?" Maybe you dont WANT to get along wiht somebody. Maybe they've caused enough drama and stress in your life and you just don't want to get along with them. But the MOST annoying phrase to me is, "What do you want?" Oh my gossh. That makes me soo mad. You could atleast say it in a nicer way like, "Oh hey whatchya want :) ?" Or something you know? Oh my gosh theres another one. "You know?" Its like nooo I dont know.

Catie   November 2nd, 2009 12:08 pm ET

i hate it when you tell someone to stop doing something they say "it's a free country"

Stephanie (:   November 2nd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

samara   November 2nd, 2009 10:29 pm ET

Claire   November 3rd, 2009 12:16 am ET

I don't like when people say "Haha, Just kidding" after everything they say. Especially when they are clearly not kidding.

Staci   November 4th, 2009 12:17 pm ET

A phrase that really annoys me is "your mom". Come on it isnt even a good comeback. Whenever someone says it to me i say "You dont even know my mom."

LR   November 5th, 2009 12:02 am ET

The phrases "Same difference" is my biggest pet peeve. It doesn't make sense– you can't be the same if your different. Another is "my bad". People are always like "Oops! My bad!" First off, it's bad grammar! Secondly, we already KNOW it's your bad. You just said "oops". I strongly dislike that saying.

lauryn   November 6th, 2009 9:54 am ET
