I really dont like cheerleaders at all! But hey if they wanna be a little skimpy at school then let them! I mean just as long as its not showing stuff! Then again i dont think they should be able to wear them around school because the uniforms are made to perform in not to just wear them around. You dont see the basketball players wearing their uniforms!

They should be allowed to wear their skirts.
If their not allowed to wear them then why do they issue the uniforms in the first place?

If they have a problem with them wearing their skirts then they can just make them wear soffes underneath the skirt and roll them up so you cant see them but you know that they are there.

Their making it a bigger deal than it needs to be.

this is my second year on varsity cheer and the skirts are really not that bad. we have bloomers that we wear underneath our skirts that are the same color as the skirt. people are always saying that our skirts are short but there is a reason for it. in order to do the stunts and tumbling that we do, it is necessary to have a skirt as short as it is. also, our coach makes sure that we conduct ourselves in a manner that makes the school look good; in other words we are not allowed to deliberately bend over and show our butt off. the football players are not distracted either because if they turn around and look at us during a game they will get in trouble.

If the school has a dress code, then the uniforms should be dress code appropriate. It is not that hard to find cheerleading uniforms that agree to school dress codes. I do agree the cheerleaders should get to wear their full uniform on game days, and I think that the cheerleading sponser should have made sure the uniforms would be appropriate for the dress code before they were ordered. Why don't the cheerleaders try doing something new, like instead of wearing their cheer shells (tops) with their skirts, wear their shells (tops) with their warm-up pants. Something as simple as that could very well please the school administration. They also have to remember, not only are the cheerleaders representing themselves, but they are representing their school, and they don't want to represent badly by wearing to short of skirts.

Dear Carl Azuz,
I wonder why they can't wear those skirts to school mabe because they are so little. They can only wear those skirts to football games. Mrs. Emmerts class

I agree with you peeps because cheerleading uniforms are disgusting. I think they are too short for them to wear to school. I also think its unfair to the other girls that aren't cheerleaders that have to follow the schools dress code on skirt length.
