Market Mess!

Posted: 08:45 PM ET

...and I'm not just talking about what happens when the market is down.  I'm talking about covering this subject – it's definitely not an easy one!  We had a lot of discussion in our rundown meeting on how to approach this story, and we did our best to give you a basic but clear idea of what it means when the market is on the rise or on the slide.

One thing I really like is the report that follows it.  When the U.S. market suffers, officials from around the world pay close attention because international markets have a way of influencing each other.  It's a little like one bowling pin tumbling into another, though I bet my economics teacher would've explained that differently...

If we weren't spending $9 Billion a month on the senseless Iraq War, maybe the country's economy would not be in a tail spin! End this idiotic war, bring our troops home to their families and invest the $9 Billion dollars a month in America's economy, not in Iraq's infrastructure.

I think that getting paid to study is not good because people will just go for the money and they probably wont even study. so i thik people should not pay students to study. Also it is the students choice to not study and to get bad grades. It is their foult!

I think the economic plan will work for at least a short while and i think people who disagree should step up with a good alternitive idea. Dont complain people unless you have a way to fix the problem. At least their making an effort...

If we keep spending stuff on the Iraq war our economy will lose money for sure. They dont seem to under stand that though.

I think that the U.S. is spending way too much on contractors like Blackwater USA. Instead, for whatever foreign diplomat, his country should provide security. That would save millions in hiring costs, and I won't even go into how much better the CIA will be able to function without constant questionable shootings weighing it down.

I think that since we (as the U.S) are already $9 million in debt, because of George Bush's Pointless War in Iraq, that its not a good idea to give out money. Sure, barrow money from China, but then when we get the money we basically give money back to china by buying their supplies that they sell. its really pointless if you think about it. Money dosen't accually grow on tree's you know. Money is made of cotton which means that giving out more money will put us more in debt.
