Co-ed Sports?

Yes, they should be able to play on male football teams. But they should have separate changing/shower rooms. They should just be more careful though, as girls hate broken nails.

Yes, they should be allowed. That's sexest if you think that women and men shouldn't be on the same team. That should only matter to the 6 year old boys who still think that girls have koodies. Girl's can be just as tough or tougher than the boys who play the sports. Differnt shower/changing rooms would have to be a must! There is no reason that the boys should be any more careful than they are with the boys. It's just a sport. If you can't take the pain, get out of the game.

I deeply believe that girls do play as well as or better than the boys! They should be able to play with them so they can show off their skills!

As the world changes, the traditions have to be changed. Segregating the sports teams according to a gender should be a by-gone tradition. It makes some sports be monopolized only by boys. That is, it ultimately blocks girls from even being included in a team. In my coutry, soccer is the boys-only-game, so girls even think that it is wierd for girls to kick a soccer ball. Girls lack nothing to be a part of a sports team.

Girls should be able to try out for boy's sports teams just as long as boys could try out for girls teams.

I think that the high school asociation of florida should change the rules and let that girl play and see if she would make it.

personally i think thats it is ok if women are not allowed to play some sports, because it is required that if there is a sport that only men can play women have to have one hat only they can play.

Girls should be able to play baseball. Not on the male baseball team, but schools should have a girl basball team too.

Yes they should have let her in ,because in the cummunity it's a law not to.But if she dose go in she might have a hard time fitting in ,boys might bully her and the coach might not teat her fair.

I think instead of creating coed teams, that they should make sports options equal for both genders. My math teacher played women's professional football and basketball; and yet she rocks at math. Why do people doubt different gender's abilities when some are math, football, and basketball prodigies?

I think if a girl wants to play football they should be able to..... everyday me and my 4th PD. social studdies class whatches this, When I heard this I was like WHAT? I may not play sports but I have friends who do. IGirls are not as fragle as people may think.

I'm a boy, and I think it's no fair. It's like a recipe with only meat. It would be better if it was like a recipe with meat and vegetable.

That is a good point. But i guess it's just because if a girl gets hurt on the football team for example then it would be a really big deal rather than if a guy hurt a guy. And if a guy hurt a girl on the volleyball team it would be really different rather if it were a girl hurting a girl.

i think that the serigated sports are a bad idea becaude girlds can play any sport just as good as boys mabey evan better. i've been told all my life to go for what i belive in because i can do it.

Yes, I think people from the opposite sex should be allowed to play on teams that aren't "for them" but should be more careful and they should respect there privacy by having different changing rooms/stalls.

i think that sports should be gender seperated. There is just as many oppurtunities playing sports for girls as there is guys. Softball, basketball, volleyball etc.

Hey, if a girl wants to be on a guy's team or vice versa there shouldn't be a rule against it.

It should be their choice whether a girl wants to get tackled by an enormous group of 200+ pound guys, or if a guy wants to prance around in a cheerleading uniform. I guess its whatever floats their boat!

I think that girls can bejust as good or maybe better then boys and boys can be as good or even better than girls so girls should be in Football(etc.) if thay want to and boys should be in vallybal(etc.) if thay want to because it is only fair.

I think that all is really unfair. There is this one guy in my grade who is a fantasticly wonderful volleyball player, but he isn't allowed on the team!! We are allowed to have girl football players and wrestlers, but not boy volleyball players??? Me and the rest of the girls think this is VERY imiture and sexist

I think that all sports should be co-ed. I knew a kid from Harper Creek High school who played on the Volleyball team. I think that if your dream is to play a certain sport then you should be able to do it, weather it is a girl or guy sport, without complication or criticism.

I think this is a really good idea because I would definatly do better on my school work if I was getting paid.Kids deserve something for being smart.A lot of people say it would be unfair but it really wouldnt if everyone tried hard enough they could be really smart too.

I think girls have some limitations in their ablity like throwing, catching, and even power. the baseball is corporate sports, so if one player don't play well, that will affect team's result. so I oppose girls play on the same team with boys

This would be a good idea in SOME light contact sports like soccer and baseball and volleyball sports. Personally i like volleyball but we dont have a guys team.
In football it would not be a good idea maybe they should make new rules and guys rules and girls rules like peter said 300lb lineman would not be good on a girl. They would litterally be crushed and they would hate it.

Boys and girls should be able to play whatever sport they want to. They can be just as strong if they try to. I have a little sister and she is mean enough to play football.

I think that it is a very good idea to let sports be co-ed. Then maybe when males and females get older they will be able to work with men and women all the same. I think it might lower sexism. That and girls and boys are equal nobody is better than anybody else.

I think that foot ball in high school should be co-ed because every deserves a chance to be on a team of the sport they like to play.

Well personally, i think that it would be fun to have guys on the team. Then again, guys and girls are different whether anyone like sit or not. This will probably mean that guys are usually more aggressive than girls are. That is just as a whole. So if this girl was a hard, good, AGGRESSIVE player, then i would definitely let her on the team.

Again, I am a girl so i don't know how guys would like it if girlks came on the team.

i think that there is nothing wrong with co-ed sports. there was a girl on our school football team and there are girls that play hockey along with other boys. i think it is ok as long as the kids and the parents know how badly the kid could get hurt. sometimes, girls are better than the boys! LETS GO GIRLS! :>

I think girls should be allowed to play. I am a very unsexist person and I believe that if girls aren't good enough, then they won't make the tryouts. I also think that boys should go for it if they want to play volleyball. Volleyball isn't just for girls. I often get frustrated because I know many girls, and quite a few boys, who want to go for sports they aren't allowed to.

I personaly think that having girls on guys teams and vis versa would really hurt either guys or girls self esteem. For an example if a girl played better than a guy on a co-ed team the poor guy would be made fun of for a long time and might never try out for any sports again. It is the same problem for girls if they get beat every time the play they might fet discouraged and quit.

i have a speech on it . i think girls should be able to play on the team but it could make the guys feel uncomfortable tackleing the girls. or rolling on top of them in wrestleing.

No they should not be. I see a lot of the posters here no nothing about the human bodies of males and females. Males on average are much stronger and faster than women due to a much higher level of testosterone.

There is a reason sports are segregated and that is because women are physically weaker.

I think coed sports are a great idea. It shows the peoples abilitys to the other gender.

sports should be coed...yeah girls will get hurt but they can get up and walk it off. Girls are as stong as boys so why cant they play against them. boy just dont want to lose to us and be laughed at so dont want them to be coed.

People should play any sport they want. I'm a girl who's very aggressive. and have had people tell me "if only you were a boy, you could play for the NFL," But I'm not and I dont even get a chance to prove my skill. so girls in high school and college should be able to play anything they want along with boys. So if any of you guys have a problem with this, get over it! And parents should let their kids grow up and learn lessons for themselves. You can't keep them from the world forever.
